For 2015 I am going to try and doing something a little different with my blog. I am going to do one big post once a month. There might be a few extra for example photo shoots. Since I am writing in my journal the blog is going to be a picture journal.
We made family goals:
Syringa: Read scriptures with Greg 5 days a week. Admit when I have an issue and TALK.
Greg:Personal Prayer and Personal scriptures study improve.
Denali: Help clean up after meals and pick out my own clothing.
Colvin: Learn to crawl.
For new years we spent the day with Greg's family. He had to work the next day so we did not stay too late. I can never get enough games. We left one thing at Mom's Colvin's Monkey. Mom was sweet enough to send it to us. Colvin was really happy to have his monkey back. Denali will not let him play with his.
2015 had to start off with a bang. Greg's nephew and his girlfriend had their baby 15 weeks early. She went into labor because of the flu. They named him Trevyn. He was 2lbs when he was born. As of the end of the month his dad had finally got to hold him. Blazen had a crazy rush to the hospital. For about an hour is was stressful. Turned out that everything was ok but wow!!
Now that I am back I realized how much I don't do when in the funk. Everything is over welling so just getting out of bed and getting dressed is hard. I was sad for not being sad that the Christmas stuff was put away. January had been a ton of cleaning. I have to lay off a little because my kids were needing some time with me.
Denali started to put his plate away when he is done eating. He also can pick out his own clothing and most days will take off his own PJs. He is the type of kid that he would rather not have clothing on so the first thing he picks is ok. His favorite shirt is his button up shirts so it goes with everything. Talking about PJs Denali got Thomas PJs for Christmas. When he remembers them he does not want to take them off and wants to wear them every night. One day they were in the laundry (really dirty) and he was NOT happy that we would not let him wear them. He does not like to smile at the camera such a goof.
Colvin got both bottom teeth. He is getting so good at feeding himself. He really does not like me to feed him. He wanted substance to his food. As long as he has food in front of him he will stay in his seat. I love giving babies spaghetti so cute and messy.
Denali is to the age that he really enjoys friends over. His cousin Drexel came and spent the whole day with us. I never realized that my kids want to be my shadow. If I am upstairs they are upstairs and so forth. Drexel would just do his own thing. He was scared of the vacuum so they were hiding and they were my big helpers making popcorn Of course the day that Drexel comes is the only day ever both boys sleep in. I was up at normal time. Being a mom is so much fun. That night Sonya came for dinner and proved that the biggest fight Greg and I have ever had I was right. Felt so bad for Greg could not even tell him told you so. Tip Keeping secrets is NEVER a good thing.
Some pictures tell a thoughts words here are just few: Where ever I go I have both boys. I got to church by myself and wow! Any mom that does that on a regular base is my new hero. I left Greg for one night with the boys for about 20 min and came home to a wonderful home, Colvin crying and Denali on the phone. The next day he took a picture of me at night and we looked the same. These two boys take all our energy. I cannot wait till they can play with each other. Denali tries but we have to keep reminding him to be soft.
We finally got pictures printer and put on the wall of Colvin. I also finished Denali's baby book and did all I could on Colvin. There is always 100 things to do.
Colvin loves being in the bath. He does not care if water is splashed on his face or if he get dunked (he falls in the water) I really have to watch him in the bath. There are nights they are in the bath for 45 min. And then they are only getting out because the water is cold.
Denali:Loves the movie Frozen and the song let it go. He knows how to get onto Youtube on my new phones. He had his first major public fit at the library. For McCarty's b-day we skyped and sang to her. Denali got the YOU and Cart down. He loves taking pictures of himself actually he just love taking pictures MOST are only his finger but once in awhile they turn out. His new thing is head phones but he has his mom's head and they will not stay in or on. Cute seeing him trying to be big. He has his dad's butt, nonexistent.
Colvin:Cries when most anyone watches him. For the Proctor "Adult" dinner Danillie watched him and he cried for an hour plus. Then Greg and I went to the temple and Tana watched him, he cried the whole time. He will smile and laugh at anyone as long as mom is holding him. Greg does put him to sleep most nights. He thinks his brother is the funnest person ever and will laugh at anything Denali does. He will sometimes watch TV or the nook in the morning but only for about 5 min.
Julie and I put on a baby shower for Danielle. Timber said it was really good. I was so nervous putting on my first shower. Greg watched the kids while we were at the shower then Timber went shopping and left her kids. The 3 oldest did not move from the TV for 10 hours. I could not even name all the movies. They had a great time so that is all that mattered. Being a parent you use the equation this+time=laughs here is a I will laugh someday right now.... you make up your own mind. Colvin got really sick and the Doctor told us to go buy this sucker (see picture below) it is like those blue bulb only with a battery. First Colvin hated it so Greg and I had to hold him down. Then it collects the snot in so when you wash it out there is all this snot that comes out. YA that is all I can right. Gross but some day I might be about to think it is funny. Something to think about.
**Some non picture stories: We found mice droppings in the basement and then Duke chased one in the kitchen. We put out poison and traps. In 3 days all the poison was gone and in one day we caught 6 mice. GROSS!!
**Greg had to work one Sunday. When I came home from his mom's my door was open. Thank heavens I was on the phone with my mom. The TV and lab top was still here so I figured I was good. I think the wind blew it open. Kind of cool and sad that we live in a neighborhood that we can leave the door open but sad no one saw it.
**Greg's theme for January is, "Don't let the bastards get you down" It is funny how you can still miss our grandparents. He would of loved my grandpa
**New child develop tip. 3 brains, Reptiles brain (baby), mammal (toddle) and human (adult) however any and all can slip back into any of the brains. Working on betting a more informed mother.
