I got the coolest thing for the boys, it is in case something ever happens
to help. They even have an ink strip for finger printing. Then I was told to
put them in the freezer. I hope I never have to use them but it is really cool
just in case.
I had Sierra's kids for 10 days. WOW! There was a little calm before the
storm.
They were so happy to see each other. The first day we went to the last story time till summer. The kids had so
much fun reviewing all the alphabets. Then Mom and Dad stopped on their way to
Trujillo's for Nathans baptism. The next day we went to Ceder City for Nathan's baptism.
What a crazy fast wonderful time. We had to leave early since Greg had to go
with his brother to pick up a swing set. He was going to be back in 2 hour
4+ later he was back. The first Sunday was a zoo. Greg took all the boys out
(not Mace). The next Sunday was better because Greg threatened them with life or
death :). I could never show all the pictures or tell all the fun stories. We
really did have a good time and the kids loved being around cousins. Mace had
the hardest time but that was to be expected. Here are some highlights; I made
up a song to the tune of Wheels on the bus. The poop on the bus goes flush
flush flush..We had to sing it 100 times. Naps were not optional. We tried no
naps one day and that was #$%#$W^@#%@#$%@#%@#$% and more. Denali and Katana made
mother's day cards. Katana spend about 20 min on her mom’s. Denali did one for
each family member in 20 min. We took them to the Lehi fun center but it was
windy and I forgot jackets. We did not stay long, that was ok with Greg and I.
Thank heavens for our tramp and lot. They played outside 90% of the time. We
were ALL so glad when Sierra and Preston came home.
Denali wanted his dad to take him to one speech class. Greg took him to his last
speech, I am so glad I have a husband that really cares about his kids. Mom and
Dad brought us down the first test batch of McCarty and Brenden milk. Fun to
see!
Denali had his preschool graduation. It was so cute!! After graduation we
went to the reservoir, but the wind blown the umbrella away so we came home. Then
later that night we went to the park with pizza. Greg lost/got his wallet stolen.
I was thinking about graduation that in 13 yrs for high school graduation we
will have a very similar day. I know that day is going to come sooner than I
would like. I know it did for the parents this year.
BIG NEWS we got grass out front and we ALL love it. One step closer.
For mother’s day the boys picked out necklaces that say I love you to the
moon and back. I know right now that is a fad but I will always say it to my
kids. I also got colored pictures from church so cute. For mother’s day we stay home had hamburgers and went on a big family
walk. Perfect!!
See Colvin's b-day blog but we had a ton of cleaning to do. It took me two
days. One day for the laundry and upstairs and one down stairs. The sad thing
is the day I only worked on the upstairs I had about 3 different people come to
work on the house. Yep house is a mess people will come. Ok story I made dinner
and had smoke billowing out of the oven. (I had made monkey bread and had not
cleaned it) Greg gave me a task the next day. Clean the oven!! The boys crashed and then lazy morning. We had to do some recouping.
The boys had dentist appointments. To Denali that was like Christmas. He was
sad when Colvin had cavities and got to come back and he did not. Colvin was
very brave. For his cavities we did oral sedation and it was wonderful.
Watching a drunk 3 yr old was so funny. The only bad part was waking him up. He
was so tired, he was a monster for about 2 hrs till nap time. Then
perfect.
I have a water mark of our wedding pictures on the Proclamation to the Family. Mom has wanted one forever. I keep telling her I can do it. I finally
had to show her, and that it was her mother’s day present was. She loved it!!
SAD news my cousin Amy and her unborn baby died. Amy had heart failure and
the baby could not take the stress. It was a very rough few days. Timber came to
my house, we picked up Sierra, and then we all picked up McCarty mom and dad
and drove to Washington. All the husbands kept the kids. It was so fun to get to
talk with all my sisters. Dad misses all the chatter. Amy's baby was one of the
most perfect babies of all time. Watching Alex with his boys was one of the hardest things I have ever seen. That night we
had pizza at the park. It was so nice to have to happy memories with a very sad
time. Something kind of cool I use to work with one of Alex's cousins.
I was so glad to be home but a 48hr 13+ hr. one way trip was rough. I had to
sleep the whole day I got home. Colvin was happy to see me. Denali did not say
anything but just wanted me to hold him.
We had to end on a happy memory so I took the boys to 7 peaks. We all had a
blast. First of many many many!!
Stories:Denali has started putting Colvin to bed for Nap. Two reason he likes being the boss and it so cute. 2nd his knows as soon as Colvin is asleep he can watch a movie.
