July

Other Crazy summer month jammed packed with fun.
The day we got back from the family reunion was the night of the Stadium of Fire. Sierra and Denim came with us. Dad and Mom stayed to take care of Preston. Sierra was done with his attitude (he had lasik eye surgery that morning, he is not very nice in pain). McCarty stayed home because Baler needed to go to bed. We did tons of sparklers (they are my favorite fire works). Greg drove Sierra home she cannot drive in traffic.
Denim got to stay at our house for 24 hours alone, she was so fun the kids loved her. On Sunday we were playing a trivia game, she said come on guys think old century like 1985. We were all so tired none of us could not stop laughing. The "fun" things she wanted to do with us was go to the library and get a snow cone, done so easy.
We wanted one last hurrah with cousins, we broke out the water balloons and the sprinklers. The kids had so much fun. The water on the tamp was the best.
Ok funny story; McCarty was not feeling great so I took her to the Dr. He told her he could not give her something for the ear infection, cough and synise infection but I will try get rid of 2 then you can take over the counter medication. Ya she was sick.
We got 2 kittens from Timbers Froggie and Popcorn (both female we would love kittens someday). There linage is Bubbles (grandma)-train (mom)-them. The kids are in love. We brought 3 kittens home. (Timber had one last male she could not get rid of  the kids named him Rainbow, took a few days to find a home for her on. (he was not a good inside cat - pooped on my carpet he almost did not survive)) We got the kittens when we went to the Fillmore fireworks. They were so good. I think better than Provo with quantity and so close.
I finally did highlights in my hair, Blond Greg wanted normal for awhile. I took the boys and they did wonderful.
Colvin is fighting napping but still really needs one. It is sad when we get in the car and he is out before we even hit Payson (5min away). No nap=8 bed time! Denali just likes to play sleep.
We went to the drive in (first and only time this year) we watched Cars 3, the boys really liked it. They watched the whole thing (on our laps). I love giving them fun childhood memories.
The kids love having family time, we took the boys to the splash pad. They are so funny they don't love playing in the water, they play with the water. There personality really shine. Denali does not want to get wet and Colvin gets soaked. We really try to just have down time with them too. They cannot get enough of their dad. He does a great job of optimizing his time with them.
With the pass of all passes we wanted to do more than just swim. We went to Seussical the musical. Timber and Sierra came with us. It was so cute! The boys had a hard time just sitting still. We had a crazy day (swimming and fun center), maybe too much everyone was on edge. The stress almost killed me but I can do hard things.
Talking about doing hard thing Greg had surgery. Timber took the boys (they were so excited). I had one day to get everything from the weekend put back together and that same day to get everything ready for the coming week. If you think you can you can. I got the whole list done. I did the last thing at 10pm but done is done.
Greg was kind of scared for this surgery. The night before we got home about the same time.  We went on a date night to the movies. We went to Guardian of the galaxy 2, it was Greg's 3 time seeing it in theaters. It was really good but the music was not AS good.
Surgery day! We were there a little early because the doctor was going fast but then we had to wait forever. Once Greg went in I went shopping. I got back a little late but I still had to wait for about 30 min for him to come out. The care was good but the nurses did not know how to say no. Greg had not eaten since midnight it is about 2 in the afternoon by now. They gave him 2 medication for pain WITHOUT making him eat anything. What do you think happen?  Yep once in the hospital and once at home. The cool and gross part is it was 90% blood. My husband it not a vampire, still love him. The first night I stayed down stairs with him on the floor (best night sleep for a week)  The next day I went and got the boys. I got home and was in the middle of dinner, helping Greg and screaming kids. I cut my hand really bad on a can, I should of got stitches but lot of band-aids and super glue worked. I guess Greg could not have all the fun. After 3 days of sick bed I decided we needed to get back to life. I finally make dinner (lots of it). We (the family) ate it all!!! I guess we do need real food.
For the 24th the boys and I needed an out (Greg needed alone time) . We went to Timbers ward party. They had chairs welded to wheels and it was a bounce chair. WOW I thought my head was going to come off. Colvin and I went once. Denali loved it thank heavens for older cousin. There was a "train" oil barrel behind a 4 wheeler. Of course the boys loved it, they were not happy when we had to come home. On the way home I got a new book "Food a love story" so funny Colvin said I was loud. It was so funny I started it over for Greg. Now it is our night thing.
I was a wonderful wife why Greg was recovering :) but the most loving thing I did was mow the lawn. I have never pushed mowed a lawn before and it was killer. I love my husband for all he done now even more.
The things that you think are cool as adults, I got a new garbage can. It is square so you can stuff way more garbage in it. It also has a censer to open and close it.  LOVE IT!
I joined a book club and the first book was "What Alice Forgot" I was done in 3 days. Greg was glad to have his wife back. The kids were sad that I took their kindles away.
The boys are so fun. They love to color on anything. They color on themselves all the time. That was something that was not allowed in my house growing up, as long as they take a bath not a fight I am going to fight.  Why tiring to finish my book they thought it would be fun to color mom. Denali did the black and you cannot really see it but Colvin did pink. It took about 2 days to get it all off, I really had to scrub.
Mis:  I am not a morning person my kids are, here is proof when they are teenagers (yes we are eating crapes we have them EVERY morning)
Darlin dressed the boys up one day. I thought Colvin looked way too big.
This is what washing blankie look like every time. (He does not get wash very often) at lease there are no tears now. Just longing! still looking for the fabric to make a new one. Might not happen!
CRAZY times make the most memories. This month we have LOTS of memories!
Stories:
*Greg started working in SL two days a week. It makes for very long days. We just need to keep our priority straight, our family!
* I don't want my boys to be normal boys.  Denali was teasing our neighbor girl and made her cry. Greg took him over to her house to say sorry.  There is hope for them.
*I sold our dressers, we can now start cleaning out the garage. At some point, we might be able to use it. MAYBE!!
*Greg and his sibling cleaned out his mom house, just the upstairs but it is a start.
* We got to talk in church. I went short and Greg went over. Sierra stayed to help watch the kids. It was the first time we had talked about 4 yrs. Not my favorite.
* I told Denali, Don't let mom use her phone why she drives. We were going to Timbers and he said mom phone down drive safe. Good remember for all
* Denali is getting so smart, If Greg and I take a nap he will not wake us up, he knows we will shut off the TV.
* We did a FHE with Julie and Markus family. It was so fun getting together, we really should do it more. Abby gave the lesson on modesty. She is getting so big.
* My boys are getting so good at cleaning. They can unload the dishwasher, clean the front room and pick up their rooms. Their wife's might thank me one day.
* I watched a Mormon message that I so needed. It was about Elder Holland, "He was on a road trip with his son and there were trying to find their way home. They were not sure what way to go. They prayed and both felt going right was correct. They started down the right road and in about 5 min it was apparent that was wrong. Why had the lord told them wrong in the first place, He wanted them to know FAST that left was correct. They would of driven, for awhile, before landmarks came into view on the left road. The best way to let them know for sure in an instant that left was correct was going down the wrong for a little while. The lord will never let you go the wrong way long. Trust , Faith!
