March started out with a BANG! First went to SL on the free train day. We meet up with Sierra and family for the baby blessing (SEE NEXT POST). That was a crazy time; First Axel tried to get on the wrong train, Preston had to run to pull him off. Sierra was ready to leave the city. Then we almost missed the train home because their time posted was off. Sierra 8+ mns pregnant had to run with Mace. We all made it home and give us some time we will laugh about it.
The next morning I helped put on Shayla's baby shower (I did the games). Azalyn had a blow out just as we got there so she was wrapped in a blanket the whole time.
Right after the blessing I left for Timbers. Long story short McCarty got the flu and I owed Timber. It was a growing experience. The drive down, we hit bad roads, thanks to a nice truck driver and praying we made it save. Then Azalyn decided she was not going to sleep. First time pumping with out help. Some silver lining; Got to pay back Timber a little, Cousin time, I fixed my own vans head light and was more grateful for Greg.
As soon as I got home we went to Mom and Dads. I pumped in the van for the first time, it was not so bad. Just a relaxing time. The boys had fun with Dad and Cousins.
Lets talk about the boys and their baby. Quintessential story: One morning they were playing in Azalyn's room with her: Denali was in the crib being the king protecting her, Colvin was marching in front of her crib being the knight fighting the dragon. Greg and I just enjoy snuggling her. Why the boys are at school I just hold her. She thinks the flash of the camera is funny. I am getting better at this 3 kid thing. The boys to out to run off energy; I snapped some photos at the library and they turned out great! Stats for 2 mns: Weight 10lbs 9oz 30% Height 23.5inch 89% Head 15.25 66%.
With the sun comes fun; we picked up a really big above ground pool, this summer will be fun. We have been working on the backyard, our goal is to finish. We had to do dirt work in the planters, then put down a weed barrier, not hard just time consuming. Colvin learned how to ride his bike with no training wheel. The balance biked helped so much. All he had to do was learn to pedal. Sometimes we have to find the sun, went on a small family hike with picnic. The boys loved climbing around. Took the boys to Coin Crazy and let them do "Big" games, Memories is what it is all about.
Denali did soccer; man was it fun to watch. One down side the weather. It was either freezing cold or just cold. Denali loved being the sweeper (not as much running) there were times he was in his own world. We would yell, "get in there" He said mom, "I don't want to push the other kids." We play to have fun. He had a great coach that actually tough the kids.
The highlight was the Color Festival, We got a ticket for mom, Birthday Present. We "kidnapped" Maddi and Sammy. We were able to talk Timber and kids into coming as well. Blazen, Sammy and Darlin got to crowd-surf. For Blazen it was a dream come true, Sammy got dropped on her head, not the best time. Timber stayed right with Darlin, maybe a little small.
With all this craziness, Denali feel asleep on the way home from his field trip.
