Thanksgiving: We ended up going to UTAH, Greg needs his
family too. If we don’t make the effort who will? We flew up really late
Wednesday night. Azalyn was the only one that fell asleep. We had a layover in
CO, the kids and I knew we were going to turn into popsicles. The layover was
not the worst, but a direct flight is always best. For Azlyn I printed all the standing tall books ¼ the size
so she could color them. We also brought games on the plane. On the way home
Colvin and I played uno 90% of the time.
We almost left Denali’s phone on the
plane. We just need to calm down, you don’t get off the plane fast.
Thanksgiving was fun at Tanas. She did not want me to help
in the kitchen it was nice relaxing, but I missed the crazy. All her girls were
there. We talked about unique blessings
and my family had a ton to talk about.
We ran my kids ragged. None of them got up till 8. Azalyn
got sick Friday (we were going to make plans, but nothing stuck I guess we know
why now) she took a 3+hr nap then slept from 9-9. We did make it to La Casita,
it is as good as your mind can make it.
Saturday, we had the Proctor Christmas party. It was fun to
see everyone. Tana had Santa come and Az was overjoyed. Azalyn got a flower Lego
set thing- so cute Colvin got a Lego car – had it together the day after we got
home (we got home really late) Denali got a gift card – had it spent in 10 min.
We did a painted ornament, and I had paint all over my bag when we got home. Tana also did a family little gift exchange
game. Azalyn weaseled her way into two presents. One was Christmas socks that
are more like tights on her but so cute.
We had a first for us. Azalyn got sick on the plane, but she
was able to make it to the bathroom. Then she fell asleep, again a very late flight,
but we wanted as much time as possible with family. Memories will last a lifetime.
Traveling tips; later at night they care less about the bag.
They care less with kids. Walmart sack with “food” is never stopped. I did eat
some sweets, but I tried to be good.
