On Sunday July 3rd Greg and I went to Salt Lake for our second Artificial Insemination. This time it was a little different because we did not have a sonohysterogram we just did ovulation testing. We used the ovucue Vaginal sensor because I did not want to pee on a stick everyday.
I test around 10:00 on the 2nd, we were on our way to the temple to go to his grandparents sealing. I guess there are blessing of temple attendance. As soon as I got a positive, a pink square I called the Doctor. The first number I called was the clinic at not the Andrology department. At the clinic I just got an answering service that told me the office was closed till Tuesday, because of the Holiday weekend. My heart almost stopped and I wanted to cry. Then Greg was my reason and told me that Andrology was not closed I just called the wrong number. I then called Andrology. They had left for the day but the nice operator knew what to do. She said to leave a message with my Name, phone number and my date of Birth, and plan on betting at the office at 7mst tomorrow. Left a message and and went to the temple.
For the 4th of July Greg's family also watches the fire works from the Stadium of Fire from BYU. We had informed them that we may not be able to go. They were pleasantly surprise that we got to spend the day with them. However, the one down side everyone knew about Sunday. More people more prayers Greg told me.
Sunday morning 6 am came very early but we were excited. I was nervous but Greg said I had to calm down. I am so glad I had a voice of reason. By the time we got to Salt Lake no one had called, until we checked our phones. Both of us had a Voice message from Andrology asking us to be at the office at 7:30. It was about 7 at this time. Greg called them and let them know that we were actually in the parking lot. We told them that there operator had told us to be here at 7. They said perfect come on up and lets get started.
We want up and down the long hall way to Andrology. Again Greg did not want me with him. I sat in the lobby and prayed.
About an hour later we did the Insemination. This time it actually kind of hurt. It reminded me when I got my ears pierced. The first one you are so tense that it doe not hurt. You relax for the 2nd one and it really hurts. Greg was there to hold my hand the whole time. We went home and sleep, it wipes both of us out. Not only did this one hurt but about 25 hours after we did the Insemination I got really sick. Major cramping and vomiting. Greg looked online to make sure all was ok, it was just had to deal with it. YA ME! Greg was excellent he did all he could. He even helped me throw up by talking about food so I could feel better for about 2hr before I had to sick up again.
I hope that something good comes out of being Sick. I guess we can only pray.
