Valentine

In the December 2012 Ensign L. Tom Perry had a message about making your own family traditions he stated (traditions) ...hold you together as a great eternal family unit. (the message is called: The traditions of light and testimony) Greg and I decided to start small with Valentine's day. First, gifts are not necessary (something little if we do). However, we try to be over gooey about telling each other what the other means to us. Second we have a nicer dinner.
Here is how our first try went. When Denali got up to eat around 3am I went and wrapped Greg's steering wheel in a streamer that had I LOVE YOU all over it and then taped a package of peanut butter cups over it. He woke me up on his way out to tell me Happy Valentine's Day and he loved me. Then he send me a text when he got to work. All day we texted and talked.
For dinner I make stake and potatoes. We even ate at our table (for us that is big, since it is only the 3 of us we usually just eat at the counter). Greg cleaned up dinner and played with Denali. He also got me a really cute pare of flats. Over all it was a wonderful day.

We have a wonderful family that remember Denali, I have to be better. (the top valentine is from my mom it is a scratch and sniff) Timber's kids were so cute they gave Denali candy that I let him have until he stared rubbing it into the carpet and feeding it to the dog.
Greg even got a Valentine from work. I thought that this was so fun. Next year I will have to remember to do this for him.
