At Denali's 15 month check up the Doctor said that we really need to push the walking. I really did not care I know that when he was ready he would start walking and I was right. Greg and I were on the grass having him fall into each other arms (aka: take one or two steps) then he just decided he could do more. We came in the house and he walked the whole length of the front room. When we Skype my mom to show her, she asked if Denali had been sneaking out at night to walk. The other cool thing is it was on my Aunt Clees birthday. The first day he could even get up all on his own. Being the attached mom, I just started crying. I love and hate him getting so big. He still loves to hold to my finger! Denali loves to be told how wonderful he is. Babies can understand what we say no matter how old. He just needed a little more positive feed back.
Miracles happen every day: Greg and I have been de-junking. We bought some hanging shelves and put them up in the garage. We have been putting a lot of stuff out there. Greg and I were moving boxes to the shelf and Denali was just crawling around. Greg looked down and said maybe you should take him in. I said honey he is ok and not under our feet. Greg said ok but it really is not that safe for him. So I said Denali come to mom. He got about as far as the latter and thought that was fun. I went in to get other box and heard a long crash. I scream Denali, this is what I turned around too. Everyone was fine but the shelf.
After all the PLAYING it is time to crash. There is nothing better than holding a sleeping baby in your arms. You can just see heavens light shine from their closed eyes. I am grateful everyday that I have my wonderful perfect son.
