March great just family time. The weather has
really warmed up, we got into the 70's. We were outside a lot. Warm weather
also brings animals into heat. Our cat almost did not survive when she was in
heat. Screaming at 3am in NOT ok. We took/borrowed one of Greg's mom old power
wheels. Denali was so cute the first day, ran into 2 garbage cans and almost ran
into a parked car. The park is fun but there is always a ton of people. The
boys had to share a swing good thing they are both skinny. Denali loves when
dad comes to the park.
Spring forward is better and worse then
fall back. Good; the kids sleep in a little. Bad; naps are thrown off. Colvin
still does not regularly sleep the night, sometimes he will also wake up
Denali. More than once the boys have ended up in our bed, with me. Greg will go
sleep in the guest room. We are now experimenting with oils, Lavender and
Peppermint is our first mix.
Being a family is so much fun.
Denali, most of the time, loves his little brother and wants to play with him.
We still have to remind him to be soft and careful. Colvin can scream for hours
or be the cutest baby ever. Especially when there is food. (we try to capture
smiles so we can remember during the screaming.) He also starting moving
around, I really cannot call is crawling. He puts his head down (half head
stand) and pushes himself around or scoots on his but with one leg under him.
He never bends one leg but it so cute.
I am really enjoying this stage with
Denali. He can talk (sometimes not a blessing) and do things on his own. He throws
text book tantrums with the whole kicking and screaming. Good thing we
capture the goods time.
Daddy walking through the front door is
the best part of everyone’s day.
The big adventurer of the months was, the
boys and I went on a road trip. Mom, Sierra and the kids came Sunday night (the
cat sleep with them Sunday night which they loved ;) We went to Timber’s Monday
and Tuesday. We all went swimming and Denali went down the water slide for an
hour all by himself. Colvin scream the whole time. Sierra and I had a bad
reminder that we are not little kids anymore. We tried to flop over the tramp
and got stuck half way around. Timber has trains that Denali had to hug good-bye.
Wednesday-Friday we stayed at Trujillo's then Home. Trujillo has a zip line
that Denali loved, Colvin not so much. Trujillo ran up and down about 10 times.
Sierra and I wanted to go more but after 5 times we were dead. The kids has so
much fun just being together. Colvin even started to warm up to others. Denali have to sleep with me all week. WOW did I miss Greg being my bed partner. On
Friday Sierra cut her hair and WOW soo HOT. Timber did not recognize her when
she walked in. We (timber and I) had 8 kids at McDonald's for 2 hours. Timber
also got sick it was....something.
I am so glad we get to make memories with
family. Talking about memories; we took Sonya kids for 24 hours. The color fest
was going on we made the kids walk to it with us (just from Grandmas about 1/2
a mile). They were not so happy but they will remember staying with us.
Colvin had a blow out on Greg's mom
carpet. Greg cleaned why I put hosed him off in the sink :)
The Arizona thing (us moving to Arizona)
is looking more promising. Either way we will be happy!
Words to remember: Praying in the morning
makes for a good day. Life speeds out of control if you don't take time to slow
down. Schedule time for your kids every day.
