Conference weekend! I went to Salt Lake
with the kids. We meet Timber and Ace at Temple Square. We went to the new
Children Museum, for 2 hrs. Was with Timber for 20min, my kids were tired and
hungry. One good thing, I did a wonderful job of parallel parking went downhill
from there. On the way home from SL I got SOO very lost. I got lost find food,
and finding the freeway. When I finally found the freeway I went north. Took me
over 2 hours to get home. I am never driving to SL by myself. We need to start making conference weekend a
bigger deal for our kids.
Trujillo ran the St. George Marathon the
Saturday of conference. He said that it was the hardest thing he has ever done
but you would not know that by the pictures. Amy’s came Sunday and he could barely
walk. WAY TO GO!!
Ok a few funny stories. I told Denali that
daddy got to ride the train. He said “ya daddy for pooping. Go daddy.”
We went to Timbers to go swimming in her
hot pot. I had promised the kids that we would go swimming when we went to SL
but got too late this was make up. Timber got us lost too.
We took the kids on a Halloween River boat
ride. It was ok at best. My kids are not huge fans of the whole Halloween
thing. We went to a new chines place before and Colvin got the fortune,
"Someone who deserves special attention awaits your magic voice"
Magic Voice is key.
We took a Family Vacation to Las Vegas. It
was so relaxing even though Colvin got sick. We went to the strip once but
mostly we just swam, ate, and hung out in the Hotel room. We went to a buffet
for 2 hours. Something kind of funny; In St. George and Vegas we went to Costco
for gas and the lines were unbelievable 20+ min wait. My kids were so happy to
be home. More space to run and they love being outside.
There is a pumpkin patch called Jakers in
Springville. I took the kids a few times. At time the weather was ok but once
it was freezing. We went once as a
family to go through the corn maze. The giant corn pit was the kid’s favorite.
Colvin would only go down the slide if I took him. Denali was sad the first of
November, since Jackers was no more.
Greg
and I tried to go on a date for 2 weeks. Once Colvin threw up. Once we were at
the park right before we were leaving and Colvin fell and got a really bad
bloody noise. We went to a Hunted Attic when we finally got to go. The
before and after pictures tell it all. I scream the whole time. Poor Greg had
bruise on his arm from me holding on. Sonya watched the boys they had tons of
fun. We forgot Denali's blanket so he was still awake when he picked him up.
McCarty found out that she is having a
boy. They told us on skype. It was a blessing that we were even able to skype
because I got the lab top power cord that day. I had guessed right!!!
Denali went to the dentist and has 2
cavities He did so good, we practiced dentist to prepare and it helped.
I had Sonya kids for 2.5 days. Wow,
getting them all ready and in the car by 7:45 was a challenge but we made it.
Then we watched Savanna's Halloween praised. My kids were Yoda and Young Anakin
Skywalker. Getting Denali to look at the camera and Colvin to stop was a joke.
I took lots of pictures for Sonya. Then we went to Greg’s work party he was so
happy to have it over with. He had done a wonderful job. The main issue; part
of it was outside and it was so cold. Sonya came to our house to trick or treat.
We all dressed up, I was Princess Leia , Greg was Obi one. Our kids were so
tired that we did not trick or treat very long, but we still got a ton of
candy.
WE LOVE EACH OTHER!
