November is the month of Thanks, Here are
just a few of the things I am Grateful for (excluding my family they are always
#1)...My pillow, Dish washers and wash machines, phones, skype, organization,
nap/bed time, small moments candy, Costco, kisses, music, sleep, help in any
form, surprises, smiles, snow, exercise, crazy, eating out, adults, portable
DVD players, games,
Communication, my van, all my family, and
everything in my life.
Some months are more stories than
pictures, November is one of those month. My phone died for 2 days. I rely on
my phone way too much. I discovered I know exactly one phone number GREG's. It
was a very happy moment when it started
working again.
I went to a RS retreat. Really it was dinner
and a testamentary meeting. I loved it, it was what I needed. Three hours to
leave the world.
Denali is 99% potty trained. He can go all
by himself. I have never been so happy to wipe a butt in my life. We are not
going to work on Night Time for a while. He loves when people cheer for him and
I will cheer ever time. Colvin likes to just sit on the potty. Hey, I
will take any little thing to make potty training easier.
Being a mom you get to learn new skills
all the time. My new skill is engineering cool train tracks. They each last
about 30 min if we are lucky. Being a mom you also get to be there for all the
goof ball moments. Like putting a fake smile on, wearing Thomas costume for 3
days, eating cake on your face, sitting in the drying to help with laundry. It
makes you crazy and happy (I had to get a pictures of Denali monkey shirt, he wears
it 3-4 times a week)
Denali has caps put on 2 teeth and he was
a rock star. We played dentist for a few days and I know that helped. The
hard part was after, they had him breath laughing gas for about a hr. he was exhausted.
Let’s talk about sleep or the lack there of.
Denali has learned how to open all door so in the middle of the night he comes
into our room. If I try to put him back he will just cry and wake up Colvin, or
I have to lay in his bed for an hr. Colvin will wake up screaming and it takes
no less than an hr before we can put him back in his bed. We went back to
making Formula, I went to his 18ms checkup fasting to find out what we could
do. They said it was a milk intolerance. That is why he throws up milk.
Denali is into playing games so I played
Zerahemla with him. He was really good for about 15 min. We even had Greg play
with us. I cannot wait till my kids are old enough to play games.
Greg and I went to the Temple, Denim and
Blazen actually babysat for us for about an hour. Greg applied for a job in OR
so it was the perfect time to go. I feel scared about it but I know it is a
great movie for his job advancement.
It snowed, Denali was so excited to
build a snowman. Colvin was not the
biggest fan. I love just doing things with my kids and watching them
grow.
Small miracles...I got to go help Shirley
with a baby project for her Annie. Greg’s had to take his dad to the hospital.
Markus and Danielle let me just drop my kids off. Family is the best.
BEST PART OF NOV...Thanksgiving. The drive
started out ruff, kids woke up early did not take a nap but we made it all
alive. Dad took us on his boat wonderful but cold. Greg went hunting with my dad
and saw nothing. I went to Sierra's with McCarty that was a fun ride home with
the van super packed, what memories. Mom had to work Monday and Tuesday. We
kicked the kids outside, rode the pony and sheep, played games, cooked and just
hung out. Mom’s living room was wall to wall people thanksgiving morning. Even,
Jo and there 4 kids, Trujillo, Charlotte, and their 4 Timber, Ace and their 4.
Greg and I and Sierra and Preston got the bedrooms, McCarty and Brenden sleep
in mom and dad’s room. Mom and Dad sleep in the horse trailer.
Thanksgiving Day we went to mom’s school.
I could never describe everything I hope pictures will help. Basketball, wiggle
cars, big horse, games and FOOD!!! Grandma and Grandpa, Loretta and Girls
came to. Nice to have some extended family.
We thru a baby shower for Cart. The games
did not go great because it was so loud but she loved her presents. All the
sister went in and got her a swing. Marci gave her Brenden’s blessing outfit
and blanket. She cried it was sweet.
McCarty and Sierra’s tummies are so cute.
I really wanted Sierra to have her baby but NOPE!
This was the best family time we have had
in a long time. No major fights and no one let their feelings get too
hurt.
On the way home Denali had to pee about 4
times. He discovered that we would stop if he said he had to pee. The one down
side of being potty trained.
Greg has been doing home improvements and
it looks good. Here come Christmas!
