We had to start April with a bang. In 24 hrs I got thrown up 3 times. Colvin twice and Denali once. Then I got the 24 flu (I held my food down) they Greg got a really bad cold and cannot get over it.
We did some thing really fun as a family we biked to wal-mart, then to McDonald for ice cream.
I started potty training with Colvin. Positives he hates being wet and he can now count to 10 (every 15 min I make him sit on the potty for 10 sec). He just does not want to stop so after a week I stopped. We will start it up later. Good news with Colvin; we have fun one one one time while Denali is at school.
Inspiration; for FHE I could not think of a lesson nothing was coming to mind. I told Greg when he got home and he said he had a lesson. We ended up dedicating our house. Having the priesthood in the home is really important.
You know I have to add something about the fun center. For spring brake they opened up everything. My kids loved the roller coaster. Greg and I could only take it 3 times before we wanted to die. The only bad thing about having everything open is just the fogger is no fun anymore.
I took the boys back to tags. I really do love that place since they have Dollar tags, they only bad thing is you really have to search for things. It is more exciting when you find something.
My boys love guns but really that is something we don't have a lot of. They found "guns" under my sink one morning. The cardboard "guns" were the best, lucky I had two. They keep their guns for a few days. Greg was not to thrilled but anything to make the boys happy.
We got our last blind in for the sliding glass door. We spent more so we could have smaller panels but they gave us the wrong blind. We decided it was not worth the fight. We really do love it and it really ties everything together. I did some painting. I really like how it turned out. I did not want it to look perfect. I wanted to have an old feel. Greg...let me be happy.
We did a ton for Easter. We colored eggs. The boys colored 3 dozen eggs each, and were mad when there was no more. Greg and I split a dozen. I am getting him to color more and more each year. We went to the VA Easter egg hunt. I had all three boys go together. Good thing because they got a ton of eggs and "T" did not get very many. Denali and Drex would of got nothing had they went with the older group. Then we went to Timbers with Drex. She took us to some sand duns. So much fun, the boys just played and played. They have cut part of the sand out so there are some decent drop offs. Kind of scary to jump off. Drex and Denali could not get enough of jumping. The best part for the older kids were digging holes. Some teenagers dug like a 6+ foot hole. After sand we colored eggs, she went out all with the eggs. She had paint, glitter, and egg color. Then for Easter we kept Greg's mother's tradition of giving the boys books. Then we hid eggs for them. They had fun helping each other. We went to Tana's for dinner. They hid a ton of eggs for all the kids. Fun times to be with family.
We got and put up a tramp for the kids. It is huge Greg and I can even jump on it. I cannot wait to sleep on it. The boys LOVE it they jump on it all day.
We finally got our bed shipped to us however there was a main part that was cracked. Now we are still sleeping on the floor with boxes all round us. This too shall pass.
We have a new thing we are tying with the kids. They can watch TV Saturday morning as long as they don't wake up mom and dad. Denali is old enough to get them cereal for a snack ALL over the floor. but it is worth sleeping in.
When I get a new phone sales people hear, "please give me a lemon, I don't need this phone to work" my first phone was no good as a phone. Would drop calls all the time. Then it just shut off on me one day. So I went in and exchanged phones. First I thought 20 min max 2 hrs later I walked out. My day was good for what we did. Then I dropped my car off to get the oil changed and it started raining. The kids were so good walking in the rain. We had an adventurer. I did not let the day get to me and instead of being in tears. We laughed about how crazy and fun the day was. Just going to show you the power of positive thinking.
I love playing with boys. They love playing Hi-ho Cherry ho that bring back tons of fun memories for me. Colvin can do about 1/2 a game. They also love to dress up and it is so cute when they want to be my hero's. I hate getting them redressed about 5 times but I know this will pass and I will miss it so I will get them dressed 100 times. It is all about making memories. I got to play dress up with the a new swimsuit I am ready for summer.
We finally went and got our temple recommends. Denali was really excited to be the boss.
Stories:We were not very good about getting prepared for conference but just having it on totally put a spirit in our home.
*Denali had school Monday (he only goes to school 2 Mondays in the yr) he has early out. I totally forgot him. His teacher had to call me, he was not happy with me all day. He told everyone about it on FHE ever Skype.
*I had to wake up Denali for school, he said he did not want to go. However, it was a day he had to go because I had IEP for Colvin. Is that not always the way.
*I finished my TV show so I started reading again. Greg is not sure what one is worst.
*Greg stayed home with Colvin why I took Denali to speech. Greg said he would put Colvin to bed. When I came home Colvin was playing in the front room and he said, "mom, dad bed shhhhh" he knew.
*Mom and Dad have 4 kids they are taking care of.
