YA! Finally hot summer sun. With our Pass we have "Free" Ice skating, cost us $20. The boys loved it but after 2 hours we were all done. My feet hate ice skates and Greg's back will not let him skate.
FUN 4th a July party. Of course we went bowling. Then to BYU, BYU was smart this year and keep the bathrooms OPEN. Azalyn sleep through the firework. The boys keep their eyes open till the last fire works and was out before we left the parking lot.
*Spencer only has 5 more treatments. We were able to celebrate his and Sammy birthday. The family can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Sun and Water just go together. Greg carved out time to come with us to 7 Peaks, the boys were overjoyed. We also went to the Spanish Fork pool, the boys are finally tall enough to go down the slide on their own. Lets talk about our pool. It was turning green, Timber told me I needed to shock it, the next morning crystal clear, good or bad thing not sure. Water does not just mean pool, we rode our bikes to McDonald, then on to the plash pad. (I bought a pop up tent for this summer. Have used it wherever we go since Azalyn is half vampire.) I finally made it to the Spanish Fork Reservoir with all 3 kids. It was a balancing act to get everything to the water, but we had a great time once there.
There are always some not so fun thing: Both boys had to get cavities fixed. They did really well. Denali is missing 2 permanent teeth. Happens in about 5% of the population. On the gray line between fun and not; Greg and I are still working on the play set. We have the main structure up but now there are just soo many little things, Christmas is still our goal. Excited news we got our Shed. Cannot wait to stuff it with all our junk.
Summer is also about memories. Toy Story 4 was at the drive in, of course we went. There were tons of kids to play with (stranger that were fun friends for tag) With our pass we also got to go to a play. We went to Peter Pan the boys loved it. They were so excited to meet the actors after the play. We watched the cartoon at Timber's and it was not as good at the play for the boys.
Of course there are trips. I went to Timbers for the 24th. McCarty came up too. The 24th in small towns is really fun. The parade was 90% our kids on horses. We went to their Stakes, Steak dinner. It rained the whole time but the little boy still wanted to dance. Timber took us to a lake by her house, we brought her Kayak and it was so fun. I was surprised how much weight it could hold. Blazen tired a "new" boat, the issue was if you fell off there was not getting back on. The kids begged to sleep on the tamp it last about 5 min. Poor Miss Az was having allergies and her eyes were gooped shut. She would only sleep cuddled next to me. I ate it up. Memories were made by all.
From Timber's it was on to Mom and Dad's. Time to can corn. Dad had the boat ready the moment Sierra and I got there. Azalyn loved the tube this time. Sierra and I got to knee board I was able to get up. The kids just wanted to play on the beach. Mom bought a bouncing bull for her pool. The kids PLAYED and PLAYED. They were left to their own devices since we did corn ALL day (we did get it all done in one day). Poor Denali fried. Mom needed her girls, we stayed up way late talking.
