We took the boys to 7 peaks for the last time this summer. We also when and saw, "The Secret Life of Pets II". Azalyn had a blow out so was in a diaper most of the movie. We had to have one more cousin party, just got pizza at a park. It was fun till the end, when Azalyn needed bed and boys had a long week of school. We had a brat fest at the church. I even interacted and talked to people. End of summer!
Talking about school; after talking to Colvin's teacher almost every day for 2 weeks and having him scream in terror over going to school. I pulled him from public school and will home school this year. I was on my knees for 2 weeks over knowing what was best. I had some amazing resources; Mom,Timber and more than one neighbor. The lord let me know, day one, that this was the right thing. Everything just fell into place. I found a great online learning resource, Education.com that for not much got a life time subscription, and some other great curriculum (kindergarten book from Costco and letters from mom), we skipped shapes I figured if I had to google, it he did not need to know it ex: Parallelogram. Something funny; when I told the school I was pulling him, they said that is ok we give you permission. YA didn't need their permission but whatever makes them happy.
On ward to adventure. Talking about school, Denali had to do a project about same and different. He had to pick a person and tell how they are the same and different. He picked Denim; they are different because she is a girl he is a boy. They are the same because they both have a mom. They are different because she has the BEST mom. (Aunt Timber lets them have free free time all day, she had to work one day they were there) He said mom even though Denim's mom is the best I will live with you. Thanks buddy.

Colvin's kindle stopped working. To earn a new one he had to sleep in his bed 5 times (not in a row just 5 times) took him almost 4 weeks but he did it. When I told him the deal he said ,"I am never getting a new kindle"
Greg is super busy with Work, School and Church. Ex: On Wednesday we take diner to the far room (his office) hug him and he can eat. He tries really hard to carve out time for his kids. There is nothing sexier then a man and his kids.
Took the boys to a karate open house. Denali has asked to take karate for yrs now. I think that will be part of their Christmas. Azalyn turned 8 ms old. Colvin wanted to know when she was getting baptized. I am glad he listening.
Happy news: Spencer finish Chemo. I cannot believe the yr that family has had. We had a small party at the park. Denali did not feel good so I dropped my family and took Denali home and bed. I love having one on one time with my kid but hate when they are sick.
With summer ending and hitting the grinding stone my mental health really takes a dive. I have been thinking a lot about; am I enough, am I doing enough. If you are really seeking the lord will show you that everyone has issues. You cannot compare your weakness to another person strength. Everyone has struggles. He also knows your heart he know what you are trying to do even if it does not all get done right now. Some things I am good at; Getting my kids to church, reading scriptures most night, saying prayers with them, teaching them how to be kind, loving each other. I was able to go to a movie (Down Ton Abby) with some friends, huge blessing for me.
NEVER FORGET 9-11: I talked about it to the kids and cried. Denali talked about it in school. His teacher was in 2nd grade so he thought that was cool. (I felt old I was a Freshman in High school)
BIG family news. We got a dog and the boys names her Sunggles. We have been looking, for a dog, for a few months. I found her on KSL and for what she was and the price we could not pass her up. She is a half English/French Bull Dog, a Freelance Bull Dog. The kids were really excited to bring her home. Azalyn is not so sure.
I having been using Greg's smart watch to count my steps. Ten miles a day is the goal. I can get that done by 4 in the afternoon. Wrapping up projects from the summer.Cleaning out the garage. Our goal this year is being able to use our garage for our vehicles. I discover my love of power washing.
