MAY

We are still working on the outside. We have been planting a lot. We planted a tree in the back and front. We have planted tons of flowers. Greg loves doing yard work when he had time. We finally got grass in the front, but we had to keep the kids off. (the original grass died we resod)
BIG NEWS: Sonya had her baby Hadley Maureen Downey 8lbs 9oz. Since this whole $%$$ I have not been able to see her in person. I did receive tons of pictures and yes Heaven switched our kids HA!
Another big story: Darlin broke her arm. Silver lining; because of its Timber and family got to hang out with us. COVID story; they would not let Timber in the hospital with Darlin (only one parent and Ace had carried her in) Timber almost got the cops called on her.
Family party: McCarty went to Sierra then they carpooled to my house. Silver lining because of the broken arm Timber got to come too.  It was a little cold for the pool, but the kids did not care. Darlin wanted to play SOOO bad. She only jumped with the little kids and only was in the pool by herself. I cannot even tell you all the fun we had. It was just about talking, hanging out, and getting mentally pumped up. Hair, makeup, and sisters are the best. The cousins played. Decided triples were NEVER for me. McCarty brought an activity for us. We did a Bob Ross painting. "Sea Breeze" I am not going to put his template, but we are not painters. Each picture showed the painters personality. We discovered Azalyn is terrified of kittens.  Julie and Shayla came to join the fun. Denim wanted everyone to do a Tik Tok video. (fast stop for tik tok that is my family’s new favorite thing, the boys love making videos. Greg and I love watching them. Greg would deny it, but he loves them) We did the same Tik Tok for the adults and kids. The kids were bribed with candy.  Something for me to remember; we did s’mores, but we made them with chocolate chip cookies SOO good and cleaner than normal. We were able to face time mom and dad. We sang to them then dad told us story about listening to the Holy Ghost: One time he was fixing a cattle trailer and he heard a voice. Calvin you need to get out of there. He left to see who had talked to him. As soon as he left the trail, the 2nd floor fell right where he had been.
Darlin had to have 2 rods put in (she does not do anything halfway) Timbers kids got to say a few extra days. I lost favorite aunt by making Holden do school. My boys wanted to sleep on the tramp. Colvin made it 5 min, Denim and Denali made it till about 2 and Blazen, who had to be talked into sleeping on the tramp, made it all night. We had an outside move night I was yelling at everyone to get things done. Then stopped and got really quiet. Blazen said my quite voice was scarier than me yelling.
Greg was on his 2-week brake between semesters. (Cannot wait till ALL done) We put up our back splash. It was not HARD just really time consuming. It took us a week because we had to let things dry for 24 hours. There were moments of craziness. We had to shut off the power since getting zigged is no fun. Had to call Preston to get all the power working again.  Then there were the 20+ tips to Lows. In the end it was ALL worth it. LOVE it SOOO much. This year is our inside, we are installing a new banister. Going to LOVE it.
Big news for Syringa: I finally got my 2019 blog printed. It makes me feel so accomplished. I got new contacts and finally got a new pair of glasses. I am a big girl now. Something funny; for the first time in 14yrs Greg had a cavity and I did not.  Greg told a story in “church” that I had never heard before. In middle school he threw a surprise party for a friend, and years later that friend told him how much it meant to him. Little things made a big difference.
My boys are so sweet. They made Greg and I breakfast in bed. They even folded the napkins fancy. They were so proud of themselves. They can now cut the grass on their own. I cut half (the sides) then they cut the 2nd half. Helps so much. The boys have really gotten into Pokémon go. We discovered that the North Park is a huge poky stop. Playing at the playground is not the best part anymore. For the first time this year we went to the reservoir. Azalyn just liked the sand. However, the boys would rather play in our pool as a family. Greg, for an early anniversary present, got me big blow-up chairs for the pool. We all just love floating in them.
School: Denali’s teacher is the best online teachers I have heard of and moms talk about online learning. They did a parade, so the kids could wave goodbye. One of Denali’s last assignment was teaching the teacher, he had her count how many times he can jump on his butt. 51!
See Colvin Birthday post
Azalyn loves to "help" me with laundry. She loves moving laundry everywhere.
New discovery: There is a store (cash and carry) in SL that had Chicken for $0.99 lbs. This store is for restaurants, so everything is in bulk. I got asked more than once what restaurant I was shopping for. Some fun fines; 80 lbs. of chicken. 25 lbs. of corn starch, 40 lbs. of sausage. a gallon of ranch powder. Ya, I filled Greg’s car up. Back to chicken, Greg and I canned about 75 lbs. We had to stay up till midnight. He was happy that I have done it on my own in years past.
Water Diet: Timber, Mom and McCarty have done an extended water fast. Sierra and I jumped on the band wagon. The whole point, for me, was a reset. I can say No I do not need to eat ALL that. What you do is drink “Snake Juice" only (No salt 1 tsp Epson Salt 1/2 tsp Pink Salt 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp) I did it for 4 days and on day 4 I could not even drink it. Then you refeed with only broth for a day. Some things it did for me; I do not need to eat just because, cleaned me out. Remember a multi-Vitamin is your friends, and you need more sleep.
Some fun things we did; Tana and family came for Memorial Day. We have been cleaning out the kids’ room.  We got a soft water system; poor Colvin’s skin was looking like scales. Though: If your going through hell just keep going!
