I love decluttering, I
love seeing my garbage can full and I love seeing how full I can fill my van
with DI stuff. I filled 2 50 gallon garbage sacks with DI stuff. I could not
even carry them. That is why I have a big strong husband. Another blessing is
we were finally able to sale Greg’s car. It was super bittersweet.
We took the boys to La Casita, and they took pictures for "memories". I know that this adventure is going to be great, but this is the only place my kids know. The kids love talking about Arizona. Colvin asked me what language they speak in Arizona. When I reassured him, it was English he was happier to move. I love showing the kids blessings. One Saturday I had my kids really clean the whole main level. I even mopped and vacuumed. Then we met up with cousins at the Springville Rec center (surprisingly fun). My Aunt wanted to get pizza for dinner, I volunteered my house. The house was clean the boys got to see the blessing of cleaning the house so cousins could come and play. One Sunday Denali decided he wanted to make caramel apples. We made caramel white chocolate Oreo. It turned out to be a great blessing; the missionaries came over (I forgot I had signed up for them to come and give us a message) we ended up giving them two of our apples.
I love showing my kids perseverance. The boys got a drone (I am really bad at flying it) I took it outside to practice. After about 10 min I had to show Denali how good I had gotten. He even gave me a high five. (Big praise in boy) Talking about perseverance the boys received a new belt. It is really going to be bittersweet when they are no longer in karate. They both have worked hard and grown tons.
Yes, we still have to talk COVID Greg got his first shot (in order to work in the office he has to be fully vaccinated) He was really sick for 24 hours. After 14 years Greg left Fidelity to work for Vanguard. He is so excited for what Vanguard can offer. The first week was not overly exciting but then he had to start studying. Not so fun. Leaving Fidelity was harder than he expected. Greg did the most romantic thing ever, he let me take a nap and wile I slept he painted the deck. He was aware I wanted to paint but he also knew I needed to sleep.
I have been promising to have lunch with the boys at school. Colvin was first, he was a little embarrass but loved me being there. However, the moment they said they could go play he was gone. YES, left me in the lunchroom on my own. Denali loved it; he really does love being the center of attention. He stayed with me till the end. I love how they are so different but love each other.
Denali has had this big bump on his leg for a while. Since family history is fun, I took him in, gave us a cream after about 2 weeks I got to pop a cyst (it was grossly impressive)
I hate daylight savings, it is fully dark by 5:30. My poor kids have no time to play. As the kids get older school gets harder for me. Denali had a big homework assignment that he "forgot" about till Thursday at bedtime when it is due Friday. I had to call mom in order to finish his math. We all kept calm and completed it.
I love Reagan, they put on a really cool Veterans program. They really do not encourage parents, but I was able to go. The boys were so excited to see me. Yes, there were tears in my eyes. The love of a country. I am so glad that my kids are in a great school, but the school still has to have state compliances things. One thing is a shooting drill. They were telling me about it on the way home, they talked about it how we talked about fire drills. I came home and lost it on Greg. Why oh Why does my kids have to grow up in this kind of a world. Back to happy news, the school put on a play the Pirates of Penzance. The kids loved it. Azalyn would not sit but we did not have to take her out.
I cut the boys hair. Azalyn was very distraught that I did not use the buzzers on her. I did trim her hair for the first time (a good inch trim not just a bang trim). Azalyn gets a show on in the morning when I take the boys to school. (Right now, it is paw patrol) Some mornings she gets to watch it in mom and dads bed. Those mornings I jump in with her when I get home and we snuggle. Laundry and cleaning will always be there but snuggle time will not. Azalyn loves to be my helper. One night I was cutting pees and I had to step away for something. Azalyn took the knife and finished cutting. Yes, I got it on video.
Something kind of funny. We have an Amazon Echo and Amazon Alexa. Echo will randomly talk to you. One day as I was eating a milky way Echo asked do you want Healthy eating tips. NOPE!
With getting colder and cleaning out the shed we decided to have a big fire. We love our fire pit. The carboard burned fast but hot. It was play warm up play. With the weather turning I also decided to clean the vehicles. With their flooring it took me 30min to clean both. Flooring worth every penny.
Nov 1st at 12 AM Christmas season for me starts. We had our tree up with in the week. We put lights inside so I could see them. We put lights in each of the rooms. Azalyn loved them, she would just sit in her crip and say pretty oh aw till about 9:30 when I had to go in and shut them off. Thanksgiving is just the start of being thankful. For Activity Days Denali made thankful leaves. Every day during dinner we told a blessing. At first the boys had a challenging time thinking about a blessing because they wanted something big. By the end of the month, they would remind us, hey is it time to tell my blessing. Huge blessing: McCarty got a house. They move in the first of January.
