April

Hold on this was a big one. I am actually going to break this into parts since I don't want anything to get lost. Big emotions hold on!
Getting packed up: Colvin thought that April Fools was the best day ever. You cannot really ruin an Oreo. If you put tooth paste in it, it just tastes like a mint Oreo. Dad also called and totally got me with how crazy our world is right now. I was able to get Greg too with Dads "world news".
With all the moving we decided to defrost the rest of our "stake" and freezer bag it. Turned out not to be stake but short bread meat. It smelled like rotting flesh and tasted worse than liver. Writing this I am gagging. Not even the dog would eat it.
Conference: I love having that spirt in my home. The whole time we watched it I just felt peace. I know what we are doing right now is right. The lord is holding our hand. Something funny during conference Azalyn wanted to play in everyone’s hair. Then after she brushed it, she would have to take a picture. I guess you do what is done to you. The sale of our house went so smooth. We have been spending a ton of time in our backyard. Not only is the weather warming up, but we all know we are going to miss it.
Hover carts: For the boys Hoverboards I got hover karts. It is a seat that fits onto the hoverboards they love them. I really bought them so Azalyn can use the hover boards. However, I just let her go with no guidance. First, she goes full blast across the street over our neighbors lawn, jumps the curve, misses our neighbors truck by inches, and hits their garage door. We will need to work on control.
Idaho: I took the kids for one last run to Idaho. My Cousin Breann got married. Bridger was a rock star and watched my kids. Brendon and Preston were running late do to the fact they were left with ALL their kids and had "travel" troubles the night before. The temple was really emotional since Brody was able to be there too. After the luncheon we went to my grandpa/ma Nefs grave. I wanted them to give me a hug good-by. That was a hard one. You never stop missing people. It was really cold, so it was a fast hug. We got to take cousins along that made it even more special. My kids played with cousins ALL day. We are going to miss family. We went to church with Mom and Dad. My cousin is in the primary presidency, so the boys went all on their own to primary.
I got home and had one day to put away and repack for 10 days of having nothing. I discovered something wonderful that I should of used ALL the time. The really nice laundry mat in Spanish Fork. The cleanest one I have ever been too. I could do ALL my laundry (with blankets) in one load. Go run errands change it ALL in one dryer and come back and it was done. I did ruin one blanket because the dryer was too hot but live and learn.
Moving stories: we got to go eat at golden corral. That is Colvin's favorite place to eat because he does not have to sit the whole time, and he can get 100 little things. When you have no food and nothing to cook with eating out is really your only options. Then as they were packing up everything Azalyn would yell NO not my...this my house. The Friday we closed I spend most of the day just cleaning. Greg helped me STUFF my van to the max. After school we took last pictures and locked the door on the old. I am going to miss the play set that was a great marriage builder.
Tana: Tana and Cory were gracious enough to let us crash at their house for a week. We border the dog for the week since Kids and dog was a little over whelming for all. After having ALL her stuff packed up having to drop off her dog was not fun for Azalyn. We went to dinner with Greg’s family that first night. Azalyn crashed and it took me like 20 min to even have her wake up. I went to my last Utah book club. That was really hard I have really enjoyed my time with this group of super fun uplifting women.
Easter: Tana has the Easter bunny come on Saturday so that they can focus on the real meaning of Easter on Sunday. My kids thought that the candy was great, but they loved their toys. We got them pop tubes they are the most annoying addicting toy ever. I had to hide the candy from Azalyn when her tummy started to hurt. We also had a family Easter egg hunt. The high light for my kids was Drexel came.  They really miss playing with him. It was cold for the hunt but that stop no one. Tana loved having little kids again.  She hard boiled eggs just so my kids and Sammy could dye eggs. Family really is the best I am so glad I get to have mine forever.  At Tanas since the kids were out of school I "homeschooled" them for the week. I told them it was going to be an hour. I was the mean mom because with recess it was an hr. and 10 min before they got some free time. We went to the boys book fair. The teacher was so sweet when they saw the boys. One even hugged Colvin (she said I can do that now he is not a student) I LOVE Reagan. Tana introduced me to Austenland. I am not sure how I have never seen this movie. In my top 10 favorite movies.
Family: We had a last cousin party. Julie was a rock star and hosted it for us. Lucy was the one that had the hardest time when she realized we were moving away. She said that she is going to miss the boys. Just another reason for Markus to come visit. He has also never been to Darin's
Driving: I kind of felt bad, Greg had all the kids for 2 days. I was going to switch off with him, but we discovered my van was so packed we could not move the seat back. We took a new way up Spanish Fork Canyon. Denali was excited because we got to go through Bonneville Lake. The first day we went to Cortez easy no hick up 9 hr. drive. NEVER say EASY karma. The 2nd day we wanted to stop at 4 corners. We got off to a late start because we were signing documents for the close of our house. Then we had to zoom the final walk through.  We went the new way in order to stop at 4 corners. At the 4 corners it was blowing 100 mph. Greg had started setting up the electrical service while driving, we were on the phone for like 2 hours. 4 Corners was just cool to experience. The whole way across Utah it is a waste land, and it rained and blew the whole time. Since we had closed on our house, we were trying to get other utilities set up, we had very spotty service, that was fun. Heading to Snow Flake the roads were closed (later found out it was fires) We had a 2+ hr. detour through the Grand Canyon. Ended up being a blessing since we got to stop and see the Grand Canyon (In 4th grade they study the national parks so win for Denali) Colvin was scared to death just to get out of the car. Through the Grand Canyon I ate something wrong and started to choke. I had to pull off fast and throw up. I ripped up my throat bad. Greg was sweet and did come back for me. We did not get into Phoenix till LATE. We went directly to the Hotel.
New House: We had to be at the house bright and early since the movers were coming. We had to unload my van before they got here. I was moving my van out of the drive way just as they pulled in. As they brought things in Greg, and I started putting stuff away. We got about 1/2 the kitchen done. My kitchen is huge but that is the only storage there is, no pantry and no cold storage. The kids were in the pool by 9, then in and out all day. That is going to be their life. Church: the lord will show you that you are in the right place. Greg had an old co-worker that has a brother that lives in surprise. We are in their ward. I had an instant connection with the wife to ask all my questions. She helped me a lot getting the kids in school for next year. Sid lives about an hour from us, but she is very family sick. She came over in the middle of boxes and unmoving. Her boyfriend is nice. My Costco is only about a 5 min drive, which is a win win for all (maybe not for the wallet) We did not have internet for 3 days. That was a long 3 days for all of us. Greg and I have never screamed at the kids so much. However, after 3 days the boys had learned to play so it was kind of sad getting it hooked up. We got new big bikes for the boys. I hope we can discover new fun riding trails.  Greg had to go into work (no internet) it is about 50min, but it was not a bad drive the traffic is not too bad.  We are the ONLY neighbors with kids. The good we have 2 cul-it-sacs to our self.
Parents: My parents have been at Timbers for a few weeks. On their "way" home they stopped by for a few days to help us. Dad helped me assemble the kids bunk beds. Azalyn just wanted her crib, so we compromised and put the toddler bed in the room. Mom and Grandma just cleaned and put away things. Grandma Amy loved the weather. She liked watching the kids in the pool, but she did not want to get in. Dad just needed to keep busy, so he organized my whole garage. I hope this summer we will be able to use it. He put shelving in the laundry room. I need more storage. We put the doors on they had for the front room. I now have some storage, I can work with some. On the 3rd day I fired mom and dad so we could all go swimming. Then we drove around. Dad wants a job at the golf course. He wanted to "check them out" to see what one would be the best. Mom put up the tramp and made our neighbor not so happy. I might have to look for a smaller one.
A few funny/fun things: Snuggles ran way and we discover the police are really nice. Had her tag been updated they would of just dropped her off to us. I got the kids registered for school. I had to go into the school since my yahoo mail was not letting emails be sent to it.  We went to a movie in the park, it was Encanto. WOW so fun, there were bounce houses and a train. It was on the baseball fields. We watched maybe 5 min of the movie. If you want to love your community, get out and experience it. The sun is up about 5:30 and so are the kids. The only saving grace is at 7 the sun is down so they go to bed really well. The first week has been good, on to many many more
