It is always good
to admit when you are wrong. (Says no one ever) However being wrong ended with
a story. Greg said we needed a smaller tramp since we moved. One day I got a
wild hair and decided to move our tramp. (Clue one: never do anything rash).
Greg was busy so I made the boys help me (Clue 2 always ask for help). This
ended with my phone and me in the pool, our old tramp taken down and me getting
a smaller (nicer) tramp the next day. The kids love the new tramp because they
can now jump into the pool. My Phone did not fare as good: after a week of
blood, sweat, Swearing and tears I broke down and got me a new phone. I did
discover through all this that I would love to be a phone fixer like broken
screens. I fixed Denali's kindle screen.
Since Greg is back in
the office, we took the kids bowling again. We all had a good time but ate way
too much popcorn. Every few months I have to take advantage of being a stay at
home mom and watching a movie in the morning with the kids in my bed. We
went to the city pool, it has diving boards, slides (Azalyn is very mad she cannot
go down), and a little lazy river that is the highlight. Azalyn got brave and
went off the diving board, with no floaties. The first few times the life guard
watched her, after they realized she was fine it was just a casual glance.
It is not heated but when it is 110+ it feels good. We tried the other
city pool as well (old town Surprise). Very small pool but a good time to try
out. The kids did swimming lesson at the old pool. Denali and Colvin were the
best in their class. They have really taken to swimming. Azalyn would not get
in, it was too cold it was only 100, however once she was in, she would show
the other kids up. I have been trying to let my kids have more independence.
I will let them go to the park if they stay together. One day they were gone
for like 30 min. Greg and I had to go find them. We went the wrong way and
missed them, but they had done exactly as we had asked.
Big News for us: Greg
got a Chevy Bolt EV. An electric car. Gas is killing us, It is over $5 a gallon.
Greg is a successful negotiator. He went in knowing what price he was willing
to pay. They tried to nickel and dime him, he walked out on them. 20 min later
they called him back with the offer he gave them. It is so fun to drive. It has
tons of power. The other amazing thing we did was install a dozen cann lights throughout
the house. We put some above the dining room table (we can eat and see) some in
the front room (we can use the space after 6 P.M.) and some in our room (we can
now see at night).
BIG Family news: Darlin
broke her same arm in the same way in the same place. Timber had to make a
midnight trip to Utah and stay a few days. She could of really used a Utah
Sister. Talking about Timbers family. They got to come and see us Father’s Day
weekend. I picked up Blazen from Basketball camp. I took the bolt. We spent 20
min in Phoenix trying to find a charger, BUST! They loved the pool, and
the cast did not stop Darlin from jumping right in, Timber did buy a really cool
glove that goes over the cast, Ace brought it Sunday. I even blew up dads old couch,
a hit as always. We also took them on a walk to our park.
My Motto is why not me:
I cannot wait for Greg (he is too busy) if I want things done. The boys and I
put up the patio furniture. After the Tramp it was cake walk. They wanted to
sleep on it. It was really comfortable, however Denali got hot soaked his
shirt, then was cold. Colvin was getting eaten alive, so he went in. Talking
about Greg: He loves to be a gourmet chef. He made some of the best shrimp I
have ever eaten.
I really try to point
out times the lord promps my kids and then listen. Azalyn lost her sun glasses
at the library. We all split up to find them. Colvin had the idea to go asked
if they had a lost and found. Someone had just turned them in. Greg was called
to Activity days. During the interview they said a pray and in it he said,
"Thank you for having this family be inspired to come to our ward"
Then in sacrament they talked about how God has a plan. you are right where you
need to be. I bought a new phone on Facebook (ended up not working because of
an android anti-theft update, anti-buy a used phone more like it) However I got
exactly one call on it from Timber, I have no clue how the call even came
through.
My Aunt Clee came to
visit. She was babysitting my cousins kid. It was fun to get to talk, family is
the best. As a family we finally made it to the lake. We blew up our paddle
boards (that is a work out) then the kids took to their kayaks like fish in
water. Azalyn had a fun time just being with mom and dad. We had a great time.
The water was so nice, the only down side no sand just rocks.
Funny Story: We have
tons of Ants, they bite, and it hurts. Azalyn is my little ant killer. She will
come in yelling, spray, for just one ant.
TEN Year checkup for
Denali: he failed his eye exam, he is excited to go to the eye doctor. 95.4 LBS.
91% Height 58.5 inch 91% (first time ever that has been the same or even close)
I just have to put this
in because my family was not sympathetic. I stubbed my toes like 10 time. I
started bleeding in the dollar store. It got so bad I would not let my family
near me for 24 hrs. because my toes hurt so bad.
The Man that built our
house came and asked if he could go through it. It was kind of cool to have him
tell us about it. He said that the people that bought it from him put a ton of
color in the house, (no wonder the people we bought it from had painted so
much).
The month ended with a
11 hour drive to see family. I did my nails, not sure why I never thought of
doing that before perfect. The boys packed their own bags. We stopped at Beaver
for a leg stretch.
