Hurry up and finish!
I got an early Mother’s Day present, A new sowing machine.
Mom could not finish my baby blanket. I got the same one she has. Moment
of reflection: A goal does not have to be done right now. The blanket mom
helped me finish, I started in high school. I have worked on it for 15 YEARS. The
key; don’t give up. I was also able to finish the Levi quilt I started
when Azalyn was a baby.
Dad finished the stump the day he left. He also put 2 new electric
boxes on my Island. LOVE!!
PLAY: Greg and I ended up going to every performance. I
have to say that the "cheap" bleacher seats might have been the
best. It was so cute the first performance we were in a row with 2 other
younger siblings, and they ALL knew the song and dance at the end. (Everyone
wants to be a cat) Denali was so cute in every performance. Not to be biased but Group B stole the
show. A group of girls from activity days came and
watched Denali. Mom and Dad left right
after group B. Denali Cried when it was
all done, He was crashing from the high. I am so proud of all the work he put
into it.
Surgery: Blessing Mom took the kids to the dollar store.
Her main goal was to get Colvin a Balloon. She purchased that first. She
took the last of the helium. Colvin did great during surgery. He woke up long
enough that we were able to leave the hospital but then was out 30 sec later.
He had tons of tonsil stones, good thing we did this. It was a RUFF 10 days. I
had a timer on to give him Meds every 3 hours even at night. There were a few
sleepless nights. His ears hurt and very little helped. He lost about 10 lbs.;
you could see ALL his bones in his back and count his ribs just with him
standing. I considered feeding him a
stick of butter. His poor energy took a
few weeks to get back.
Colvin started soccer the week after surgery. He did make
an appearance at his first practice. His coach (our friend) was like wow he
looks bad. His first game he wanted to run like crazy you could feel the love
for the game but his poor energy.
It has hit 75 Degrees. I put on my shorts, and we headed to
the water park. It was cold so we only stayed for a few hours. If our lips were
not blue, we all would have wanted to stay longer.
Blessing: We thought Oreo ran away. We looked for her ALL
day. We took walks and drove all over the neighborhood. We even posted it on Facebook.
Then I went outside to listen to a conference talk (needed some peace) and
found her under the outdoor couch.
I woke up one morning so tired (it had been a hard night
for Colvin he had been up every 2.5 to 3 hours) The come follow me was, "
I will give thee rest" The lord does know you.
Spring Brake: We did not do tons since Colvin was still
mending. I finally cleaned out my laundry room. We took the kids to Up
Town Alley; they had an all you can play special. Our big thing was we went to
the Wildlife Zoo. It is bigger than you think. The boys wanted to ride in the wagon
most of the day. Azalyn just wanted to run and see everything. The feeding of
the giraffes and petting the tortoises were the highlights.
We watched Phantom of the Opera. Denali loved it, Colvin tried
not to like it, but he got into it. Azalyn loved the music.
Just some cute things: I was late picking up Azalyn. I said
I am so sorry she said mom be later I like to play with the microphone. I asked
Azalyn if she wanted to be an artist when she grew up (she loves to play in
paint) she looked at me and said mom I am an artist now.
Denali wanted to learn to cook. He picked Lava cake. He did
a fabulous job. Only 1 of 4 broke.
At school they got to dress up as book characters. Colvin
dressed up as Jack from Magic tree house. He was the only Jack but there were
lots of Annie’s.
Both boys got the responsibly award at school. I almost
missed Colvin. I went in with slippers. The school had a boys and mom night. We
played dodge ball and ate ice cream.
We went to a Spring Training game. It was better than I anticipated.
The boys had tons of fun running after balls.
Some off the wall news: Z-library came back up YA for me Boo
for my family. Ralayna got her mission call to Spokane Washington. Colvin's
guess was Seattle.
We have seen and heard tons of coyotes lately, dogs have to
come in when it gets dark. I think I have PPDS. It is depression right before
your period. I wish I was more regular so I could be more aware of it. My poor
family. All we can do is be better for the next day.
