I learned a new word this year. Mayember, like December, the
crazy holiday only for school. One day I made the trip 6 times. I made it to one-reward celebration. Colvin’s,
he received lots of improvement awards.
If you need help, you must quite down so you can listen to the
spirit. My inspiration was to read the Book of Mormon in a deeper way. I am
reading the book of Mormon made easy but have it on my phone at the same time.
That way I can read all the foot notes, and any verses the book mentions. When talking
about the commandments. Do’s are so we have more light, don’ts keep us from the
dark. My Relief Society did something so cool. We went to the temple, but we
did baptisms. Then we went to lunch. I was a little late picking up the kids.
They were able to walk and get donuts. If
you serve, the lord will give you the time back 10-fold. Huge blessing, I was able
to make blankie and get my 2025 blog up with no tears. Blessing, We went early Monday to see Colvin's Birthday shout out, no birthday but a graduation shout out for Azalyn. The next day the birthday was on, but we would of miss the graduation shout out.
Romanic Greg: I really wanted to go and watch Paddington 3
but with life it never happened. One weekend Greg said we will watch it. I
found all Paddington’s at the library. He drove me there and we had a Paddington
marathon. They were all so cute. Let’s
talk about Greg and meds. He has really been working on cutting back. The main
issues his body is rebelling. Greg set up a date for us, it was a pro baseball
game. I was a little nervous because baseball is not my thing, but the game was
really fun. It was our latest date, and the kids even had to put themselves to
bed. I LOVE my husband; he really is my best friend. For over a week I could
not kiss him. At Timbers I sunburned my lips. I missed kissing.
Funny sad news: I blew up my mom’s pressure cooker. She was
given the pressure cooker as a wedding gift, when I went to college, she gave
it to me. Cooking went on a back burner with the crazy month. I have so much
time when I don’t cook. Other things:
Denali showed us how to make a flex Tagle. My printer has never worked so hard.
We got rain before school one morning. They kids jumped and
danced in the rain all morning. I was
able to go on a field trip with Denali. We went to an indoor Go-kart and arcade
place. It was fun to see him interact
with his friends. I was really good on the Go-karts, they were fast. Colvin
hurt his hand, and it was not getting better, took him to urgent care. It ended
up being a bad internal bruise. Glad we checked and glad it was nothing major. Azalyn got to go to a hip hop class. She
liked it but cheering is where her heart is. Denali had a Hurricane Harbor Day
with his interact club, since we have season passes we decided to tag along. The
kids all had pieces in the art show. Before the show we went pants shopping and
no tears. Key, once they find what fits
you are done. We don’t need to hunt for a “perfect” pant. The kids were so proud of each of their pieces.
I was able to chaperone a field trip for Colvin. We went to Hurricane Harbor
and had 4 in our group. We spent a lot of time in the wave pool. Then we were
really late getting back to the bus. They were waiting for us.
MOTHERS DAY: I told Greg I just wanted it low key. I just
did not want to cook and wanted lots of hugs. I love being a mom, I am not perfect, not even
close but I try. Mom notes: if you use Nair
on anything but your legs 3-5min max. For mother’s day we asked the kids questions;
here are just a few; How many siblings do I have; The boys got it right 4, Azalyn
had a hard time she Said lots (she named all the siblings and their spouses)
then her mind was blown with Aunt Tana was a no. They all knew I loved to love
and none of them were even close to my birthday. However, when we asked questions
about the kids, I did not do veery good. We did a family/parent kid photo
shoot. Denali made me a Mother’s Day blanket.
We finally made it to the new Splash pad and park. It is
really fun but they needed double the space with how many “toys” they put in
the splash pad. The park is really fun.
We made it to Blazen’s Graduation. YES, we stopped at Maverik
on the way up and back. This year the graduation was only 2+ hours not 6.
Azalyn and Greg were ready for the full 6 so 2 was a happy surprise. Colvin loved
Holden’s dirt bikes, Holden even gave Azalyn a ride. The next day we branded with Mcphaul’s. It was
so so windy. Colvin had blisters on his ears because we had a hat but all
forgot sunscreen with the wind. None of us came away unscathed. Denali saved a calf
from going back just by being to scare to move. It took Colvin a min to warm up
to the idea of all the calf’s but did great once he got it. I love giving shots.
Azalyn had to stay with grandma. She made a food shop for everyone when they
had a min. The next day we asked if they wanted to stay and help again. It was unanimous,
NO lets go home. We all crashed when we got home.
END of an era. For kindergarten
graduation they did a parade. Azalyn got to sit on the sunroof and blow
bubbles. The whole school was outside cheering for them. Colvin and Denali even
made signs. Then Azalyn’s friend got to
come and play. Yes, I cried but they were happy and sad tears. Azalyns’ Teacher Ms. Smith made the cutest “yearbook”,
with pictures throughout the year she had taken with Az. She also got a shirt that
says, “Goodbye kindergarten hello first grade”. Colvin made an end of yearbook. One thing he
said, “what will you miss about 4th grade, he put Nothing!”
Summer: This May has been the coolest May in the last 3 years.
At the end of school, the pool was still cool. For the first day of summer, we
did a movie in bed. I do have a list of jobs to get done this summer, at some
point. We hiked down to the lake, from the playground. The boys got to do some cliff
jumping. We took one of our friends and all had a great time. We kicked off the summer reading program at the library, bubble and prizes. I am ready to make memories this summer.
