Christmas

This year we all had an advent calendar. Denali had a D&D themed (it was mostly dice). Colvin got a new duck every day. Azalyn got a bracelet with a new charm every day. Greg got a piece of chocolate (I know Azalyn ate more than he did). I got a puzzle mom and dad gave us. The puzzle was huge but every day you opened a box with 25 pieces. Denali and I mostly put it together. We actually had to put it together 1.5 times because one day on our rush to get out of the door for school we knocked it over. I am proud to announce we got it done before Christmas and we did not lose a piece. 

Christmas miracles; Denali’s blue blanket is in ribbons. I have been hunting for more Material and found 3 yards. I asked a friends mom to help me. I was just going to make little ones, but she talked me into making a quillo.   Miracle #2 I was able to find another yard and on Christmas I had him make 4 little blankets.  He got a big blanket for his bed and little ones to carry around.  

I am going to put this in the Christmas post because the gathering Christmas concert is what my sole needs. We went Sunday, after church. For church we had our Christmas sacrament. It was good but my sole needs the gathering jolt. We had brought some friends with us. Azalyn and her friend had 5 bags of cotton candy. They loved the petting zoo.  

This year for the $5 gift we did not go shopping on Christmas Eve, Greg had to work. We either shopped on Amazon or the school shop. Denali had Dad and got him an ice cream spoon (amazon because the school shop sold out of everything.) Dad had Azalyn and she actually picked out her own present from the school shop not knowing it was for her, I just asked her what one she liked the most. Colvin had mom and got me a candle and necklace from the shop. Azalyn had Colvin, it was really hard for her.   She did shop at 5 below she got him ducks and a big dino. Mom had Denali and got him a surprise shirt. We got the softest PJS this year. The funniest thing is our friends got the same PJs.

Christmas morning: Denali was the one that slept in. Colvin was the first one up.  Some highlights: Greg got a laser bullet for his gun so he can practice in the house. Mom and dad got each other the same gift (40 date night ideas) Mom got a hand massager and a mat for the bath that makes it a jetted tub. Denali got his blue blankets Colvin got a duck body suit. The boys got a 3D printer from Santa, they have loved it. Azalyn got the OMZ crew and a gym mat. The big gift for the kids was an Air Hockey table.  We have had 2 family tournaments.  Greg being the ward mission leader had the missionaries come over. Over all we had a great Christmas. I did not do cards again this year but it’s always fun to see how other families are doing.
