New Mexico

Every year we try to take a trip to see all my sibling. The last time we went to New Mexico was Easter 2009. I went down for Darlin's blessing, but Greg had to work.

For FHE we played games with the kids. Ace wants to be part of his kids lie and is doing a wonderful job. We tried to put Darlin on porch to watch but she was going to have no part of that. She wanted to have fun with the kids.
This was us on "base" playing freeze tag. Darlin laughed so hard. Blazen was in his super hero custom so he could run so fast. Denim just liked to hide
Denim loved going under our leg. Blazen was not so sure about going all the way under.
Then we played hide and go seek. The kids are not quit old enough. They would tell you were they were going to hide, but don't come looking for them. It was so much fun. I think it was the best part of the trip.
Greg took all the pictures of us playing. His hay fever did not like him much.
Timber is a wonderful mom. Her kids love her. She is a great example to me. I want to be her when I grow up.
This is us just hanging out. We had perfect weather why we were there. It was so fun just to chill.
Darlin is getting so big. I love the flowers that are as big as the babies head.
Darlin loves being with the kids. She gets so mad when they leave her.
The kids are getting so big. Denim is a really good big sister.
The kids are on top of the hay bends in the above picture. Getting them up was not a big deal but getting them down my hear almost stopped. As we were getting down Blazen let go to wave to his dad and almost slipped. I thought Timber was going to pass out. I think that she stopped breathing the whole time I was coming down with him.
The kids loved their Uncle Greg. One night he played games with them.
This says Robbers Roost. Look at the house they built.
Wow, about 10 years ago their were two guys that come and started to build this house. They lived there for about a year. Then one day the FBI came took them to jail. Timber said that they were big bank robbers and was just hiding out. Who would think to look in New Mexico.
This is other cool place that Timber took us to. This use to be a Spanish mission.
The walls were just mud and rocks they stacked.
This was other Spanish mission. Only this one was a small town.
I can hold up the door.
I thought that this fire place was so cool. This is were they did all the cooking.
This was the "good rode." We talked Timber into letting Greg drive. Last time we were in New Mexico Timber drove 45 on the good roads and Greg and I thought we were going to die.
This is just an old homestead. The will mill was how they pumped water.
This was the old home.
There are 3 of these old pickups on the ranch. I just thought that they were so cool.
During the depression in the 30's, a ton of people came to New Mexico because they were starving to death in the cites. They would dry farm pinto beans, and live off the beans.
This is what they call the VLA (very large Array). Theses arrays are on railroad tracks in a Y shame for 200 acre.
This was kind of cool. These two disk were far apart. If you talked into you the other person could hear you. The kids loved it.
There is this little path you walk to see the Arrays.
This is one close up. This is only the top off. I did not want to get on my knees to see the rest of it.
Greg and I. Looking at all the arrays.
The other really fun we did was get roasted chillies peppers. New Mexico eats lot of chillies. Timber was nice enough to get one Mild bag so I could have some. She also got one Extra Hot for Ace.
They roast the chills in these big round tumblers things. It was so fun to watch them.
The chillies come in 25lbs bags.
The red bags are red chillies. Timber said that red chill you dry not roast and it is really hot.
This was our chill. We watched about 10 batches of chillies. Each batch only takes about 5min and they had 3 rosters going.
This is the chillies just starting. They start our green and come out black then you peal off the skin.
This is what they look like coming out
This is how they roast the chilies. It really only takes about 5 min. a batch. I think it is so cool.

This is me caring the chillies. I could not wait to do this.
This is Timbers post office. I thought it was so cool. It's the OLD style.
The middle nob is like a dile.
Ace working so hard at putting the dinner in the oven. He has really become super dad.
Right before we left we went and climb this little hill. The kids are like mountain goats.
Dad don't look at the shoes I wore.
Greg at the top. You can see how high we are by looking at the truck below.
I Scram
We scream
We all Scream
For PIE!
OTHER FUN THINGS:
**The night we got there we went for a walk. Timber striped Darlin down and let her play in the dirt. You would of thought her mom gave her the best present in the world. She would not stop eating it. Denim even went in her underwear. She had so much fun.

**I had to buy four I-pod speakers before one work. The fourth one was in Moab.

**It was just fun to take a week off work and hang out with Timber and her family.
