My Friend Brittany has been trying to have a baby for about two years. They were having no luck so they put in for adoption. Her husband Shaun, is Navaho, there is a need for ethic blood. Since, tribes have the last say and most of them will not let anyone adopt an ethic baby, you have to have the right blood.
She got a call on Friday morning letting them know that they have a baby for her. She was so excited.
Then they call her Friday night and said that she need to be in Albuquerque NM that baby was on her way. They rushed down there and for Two days they wanted til,
There was so many small miracles, the birth mom had two other families picked out. The first one did not have the right blood, and the 2nd family the mom got sick and could not take a baby at this time. Her middle name is Navaho for Miracle. They are going to make wonderful parents.
I was just sad that she got her baby before I got my baby. She is so cute. I am so glad that I got to go and see her.
This is Sierra's baby Katana. She is getting so big and next to Brittany's baby she was huge. She is starting to crawl all over, I think that she looks a lot like Sierra when she was a little girl.
Now comes the sad news. We have a very good family friend Grandma Bubbles that pass away. Trujillo happen to be in Salt Lake doing training. We all wanted to say out goodbys. Sierra drove down to McCarty's, then they came and picked me up. Then we all drove down, it was so much fun. I have not been all squished in a car with most of my family for a long time. We just talked the whole way down.
Katana was so good. It was really late so she sleep most of the way down there. Trujillo was nice enough to stop a few times for me so I could pee. When we got to my parents my dad was so funny. He wanted to pick up Katana so bad but he did not want to wake her up. He just sat there and looked at her.
The funeral was actually in Cedar City. We went with my parents. Steve talked
he did a really good job. One thing that really stuck with me was from her Son, he said that this was not a tragedy she had lived a wonderful live, and we should celebrate it.
