Family reunions

This year Evan was in charge of the family reunion. He held it at a girls camp in Swan Valley Idaho. They had the biggest slide I have ever seen. Denali was not so sure of it the first time. The 2nd I had him go with Brody since it kind of scared me to take him and he knew he did not like it. You sat on pieces of carpet so you did not burn your legs. Every night one family member was in charge of a devotional but they tried to make it fun. My mom did minuet to win it games. I did not get a whole lot of pictures because I got most of it on film. Aunt Donita did a Nef vs Clinglers (humans vs zombies) we played that a lot since it turned out to be really fun. My Aunt Deann did a memory night. Everyone told stories about Grandma and Grandpa. I got all the stories on film SO worth it. Every family had different color t-shirts. I am so sad that I did not get a picture of every family. There was only one family not there the Cueva and they were purple. The Amys were yellow. The coolest thing about our t-shirts is on the back they had put everyone's name on it. All the grand-kids had an * and the great-grand kids have **. Denali loved being with all the kids. McCarty just knew she was going to make him walk but at lass no, it is going to be on his time. I wanted us to all match as many days as we could so I made shirts for our little family (Mom, Dad and Boss). We finally got to wear them the last day of the Nef reunion and the first day of the Amy reunion. I did have orange t-shirts for all of us too but we did not get to wear them. Family t-shirts definitely helped with laundry.

*Funny stories: all the kids got to make marshmallow guns. The first night my cousins little boy told his mom that every thing was all right because he put his gun on safety (did the action) and took out all the bullets (marshmallow) his dad was so proud.

*When we got there my mom and Aunt had set up there water bounce house. Since I did not want to dig through everything to find Denali's swim suit so I just let him go in his diaper. It is amazing to see how much water a diaper can hold. Greg took pitty and found his swim suit. Right as I put on his swim diaper he pooped in it so good timing. 

*Of course there has to be family drama. This year it was over a game of all things. I felt really bad since I brought the game. It did not help that when it blew it was 10:30 at night. 

*There were bunk beds all over. In the "Amy wing" there was McCarty, Brenden, Sierra, Katanta, Greg and I in one room. Preston slept out side since it was SOOO hot. The 2nd night Greg found a fan and McCarty and Brenden slept outside. WAY better.

Swan Valley is famous for one thing, they have square ice cream. Before we left we had to try it. It was ok and fun to say that we had square ice cram. Then it was off to the next reunion

The Amy O'Malley family reunion was in pass creek. We tented it. When we were driving out it was pouring rain we thought Great but the rain was a blessing for two reason. 1. really cooled it down, 2. it keep the dust under control. The first day we played a came called Corn Hole you tossed bean bags. Dad and I were a team (we need to practice). Then also had a bounce house. Denali loved it but I have to be careful. For one thing he like to slide down the out side and few times I did not see him crawl out and it rolled off. Second thing he cannot stand so he got stepped on a few times. My Cousins little boy was in the bounce house and kept telling all the little kids, "Don't step on the baby, you will get in trouble." I think he has heard that a few times. I did not get as many pictures because I played volleyball most of the 2nd day. My team (Brenden) ended up winning the whole thing. I was so sore the next day. This is the 2nd time I have been on the winning team. McCarty was teaching my son bad habits.  We went to church with Aunt Darla, I love the Howe branch.

*other fun things: I love Jack in the Box, every time we go to Idaho Greg stops just for me. Denali ate 8 chicken nuggets. I think he would have kept going had we had more. 

It was such a fun time with family and Denali traveled so well but I was so glad to be home. We got home Sunday and Monday we took Denali to the Doctor. Turns out he has hand, foot, and mouth. Also he really needs a friend. For the last 2 days every time he sees kids and then they leave he cry's.
