To Grandma house we go (Grandpas too)

All summer I have tried to find a time to go see my parents. Nothing worked out, however the lord knows your heart and you just have to trust him. Timing worked out perfect for 3 things. One Greg had a week off, my cousin Angle got married (when we were kids we were really close), and Sierra and Preston were leaving their kids at mom and dads for a week, (ya friends to play with). It worked out for mom and dad too that way mom did not have to take a full week off of school. The drive up was awesome, Sonya let us barrow her DVD player for the car. Denali was so good he only slept for about 45 min then woke up and said Duck, (Duck Tails). Colvin slept 90% of the trip. Greg stopped at Jack In The Box for me. First stop the reception. It was at a park. Colvin had had it. NOT HAPPY! However the treats were divine. They had s'mores with different types of marshmallows. Then they had cake balls. I had to try one of each. There were about 6 different types. ALL SOOO GOOD!
Then off to Evan and Joann's for the night. The next morning Evan got the mortorcycles out. At first Denali did not want on, then he did not want off. Side note Sonya let me borrow this new curling iron. It clamps your hair and then sucks it in. So fast and easy. Did Joann's and Breann's hair.
Then off to Grandpa and Grandma's. They stopped at Jack In The Box again for me. That night I got sick and was sick for two days. Good start HA Ha. Katana and Denali were good friends most of the time. They played really well outside. Mom and Dad have a very red neck swimming pool with a slide the kids would slide and I would catch them. The water was, to quote Katana, "freeezen cold." Greg got in and said that his feet went numb. When I was done catching them I told them if they went down the slide I would dunk them. Denlai went down twice before he was frozen out. Katana really wanted to go down once more. At the top of the slide she would say I be brave. It only took her once. Mom went to work on Tuesday it was a good day the kids could not have been better. We went on about a 2 min walk. We got out of the drive way and walk into mosquito heaven. We ran back inside when I saw one land on Axel's face. We all had about 15 mosquito bites. Poor Denali was making them bleed in his sleep. The kids were banned from going outside in the day time after that. My parents ate up having the grand-kids.  Mom would give them all bottles and binkies. Colvin got his first horse ride. he thought it was ok. We helped dad move his bulls. It was sooo easy. There were so many fun stories but here is one about Axel. All the kids were in the tub and he started grunting and had some bubbles. Then next grunt was solid. Mom starting yelling and laughing. We all ran in to help get the kids out. Mom did the boys hair. The last day Katana was sick in the morning, Denali was bored without her. I went out the side to check on him, he was just swing his legs over the steps. I asked if he missed Katana, yes and I asked if he was bored, yes. I asked if he wanted to come in, no mom. And just kept swing his legs.
We all had a great time but it was nice to get home.
