We started September out with one
last family bang. All the girls met up at Mom and Dads for a weekend on the
boat, McCarty even took Bayler on the boat. I was inspired on the way too Idaho
and downloaded a book for the boys Magic Tree House. The boys loved it, and
they were fun. Everyone was on the boat when we got there. I took the boys on
the boat for a fast ride. Sierra, Colvin and I went on the couch, Sierra and
Timber went on the tube. Dad was driving and kind of forgot we had Colvin
(Denali was in the boat with him) Colvin loved it. Sierra and I held on for his
life. Sierra, Timber, and I went out one morning to try to water ski. Timber
and Dad got up, Sierra and I had fun laughing at each other. I have no upper
body strength. The Men took the kids, (we payed Denim to babysit) but dad had
to get them ready. Dad is trying to make his son-in-laws better men, he had all
the men come Sunday and put dinner together. (It did not go over great with mom
until us daughters started talking to her) Timber went home but I stayed.
Katana stayed with us. When I was putting all the kids to bed Colvin wanted me
to lay with him, Katana said Colvin I will snuggle you. They fell asleep
with her arm around him. We took Katana home the next morning because she said,
"I just need to see my mom" We went and picked peaches with Sierra.
It is the end of harvest and all the gardening and picking fruit brought but
very little kid memories for me. Dad wanted to take Sierra and I on a horse
ride. Greg said that we owe him big time for having all 5 kids on his own. We
took the kids after on a ride and they loved it. Colvin wanted more and more.
Mom and Dad took us to a new place swimming "Bourns" it is a hot pot
and there is a rope swing so FUN!! (We did that because the kids begged to go
on the boat but it was not working)
When I got home Sonya took me to
Taysia’s bachelorette party. It was ok at best, no one was drinking no one to
even laugh out, oh well. Then Sonya put on a family party. Funny story: we
spelled Taysia name with different questions. T was what to bring on their
honey moon. I said Toys, Savahanna and Sammie was wondering why?? I got some
bad looks.
We also took Denali, Colvin and Drex
to Addies birthday party. Nichole puts everyone to shame when it comes to
decorating. It was an “IN SIDE OUT’ theme so cute the food was even colored.
The first thing Colvin did was find a water puddle and fall face first into it.
Good thing he has a cute body. I think I was going to make a ball pit for my
next baby.
Mom and Dad went to Alaska with the
whole NEF crew. Mom tries to send a post card to the boy’s. They love it.
Denali slept with his and made me read it every night for a week. It is the
little things that make the biggest differences.
We have had great weather. We have
had tons of fun just being a family outside. Colvin thinks he is really big
when we let him ride on the 4 wheeler on by himself. Someone has to be outside
watching him because sometimes he watches the kids more than his driving.
Sid has a friend come over a lot really just a friend that the boys love and he
is go so good to them.
BIG NEWS: Denali started
preschool. My family is so blessed to have Greg that honors his priesthood.
He gave Denali a fathers blessing to start. Denali was so excited he started
running on his own but then stop and decided to walk with Mom and Dad. He told
me not to cry so I waited till I got back in the Van. On the way to school
I was telling Denali that he has to be friends with everyone. I said if you see
someone sitting by themselves what do you do... be nice and be their
friend. Then I said if you see someone looking at a bad picture what do
you do... Denali said sit down and be their friends. I guess we will work on
that one. Colvin really wanted to go too but decided it loves the one on
one time. I make Denali say 3 happy things every day. Usually he has 3 happy
things to show me.
Taysia and Tyler got married.
It was very pretty and nice but VERY Disorganized, even the night before
wedding dinner. Drex was the ring bearer and My Boys held signs. They had no
clue what they were doing. It all worked out in the end, because they were just
so darn cute. There was lot of dancing and Denali was always in the middle of
it. I talked to Denali about being married in the Temple. Sonya is so glad it
is over and she did not kill anyone so it was a success.
Our family finished the Book of
Mormon sticker chart the Primary gave to each family this year. We started
reading the Real Book of Mormon again and coloring it.
Two huge blessing; I needed
winter clothing for the boys. (They have no pants). I found a new wonderful
consignment store. Tags! There was also a BIG lot of 3T clothing for Colvin
that I got for super cheap. Now my kids will not be cold and it did not break
the bank YA!!
Other huge blessing; they finally
broke ground on our house. They had the back hoes on side for 2 days
before they started. I was about to start digging myself. So glad they
stared I love my whole!!
STORIES: When we were getting ready to leave for Mom and Dad's I took the Boys to Costco. Denali asked ok mom what snacks are on sale this time. So cute!!
*When at Mom and Dad's I had a blow up at moms. She said she now remembers how bad it was when I was in high school. I felt really bad. I have to be nicer to the people I love the most.
*I went to get Colvin from nursery and he did not run to me. His teachers were pointing to the table. He took his blanket under the table and went to sleep. That was the first but not the last.
*I took Tana cats to Timber, (hope Tana never reads this) The cat jumped out of the car and was never seen from again.
*I stayed at Timbers to watch the girls in dance and Gym and Blazen in Football. Ace watched the boys so I got to really watch the girls this time. They are so cute.
*Denali started speech, but every other Thursday he has school AND speech very hard days. We may start missing speech more.
*Sonya, Sid and I got up very early on Saturday stood in a BIG line to get a $40 fill your bag. We got two bags and 18 items (less than $5 and item) Sonya knows how to pack.
*We started to play a new game Cards Against Humanity, it is like an adult version of Apples to Apples. I suck but Greg is really good. It is just fun to listen to what people come up with.
*My new thing is to have more meaningful prays with my kids.
*The new rule in our house is no phones or kindles in the car unless we are on big road trip. It's sad I have to make my kids talk to him even at this age.
* Sonya babysat Trevyn for a few days. He was sad when I left, I took him with me to go get Denali. We thought it was just me till someone else tried to leave. He just wanted to go.
