We start out June riding our bikes. Sierra came down and we did the park to park trial with 6 kids and 2 Adults. It was crazy fun. Some highlights; We had to keep Axel motivated forward for 10miles, he was mad at the end because he just wanted to stop and listen to the monkeys (birds). Katana, and lets me honest my butt (I took Greg's bike) hurt so bad. Drexal and Denali had to wait at every bench for us. Side note; at the end of June I did the bike trail one more time with a friend. I brought Colvin's bike, it was stop every 5 min to let him off his bike or put him back on his bike.
Sierra came down to test run Seven Peaks. The day we went it was dead. However, the little kids pool was cold like I think ice chunks were floating in it. Denali was so brave he went down 90% of the slides. Of course we could not forget the fun center. Axel and Colvin were less than happy then could not drive the cars.
Sierra hit 2 birds with one stone on this trip. The 2nd birds was Darlin got baptized. She was baptized on a Monday morning. Greg and Preston had to work. It was so sweet, She sang a song and Dad gave her a talk. Then we all went swimming at the hot pots. We were at the hot pots a lot longer than we intended. Sierra and I came home got packed then Mom and Dad picked us up for the week.
We got to Idaho about midnight. Denali was out, Colvin sleep most of the ride so he was ready to play. During the summer the best part of Idaho is the boat. I finally realized how jealous mom is of the boat and how much it scares her. She opted to stay with Mace. (Sierra came for the weekend.) My boys got to spend time with Grandpa. They loved being in the big truck. Of course there was a movie and popcorn night. That is the highlight for my boys.
Right before Idaho my dishwater broke. Greg had to do dish till he got me a new one. (he did not think that doing dishes by hand would take that much more time) I was gone 4 days and guess what I got a new Dishwasher. Greg really did his research, I got one that actually cleans. The one down side is it is smaller but hey it works great. He got a great deal on Sears clearance sale. (there is a dent on the foot board, have to be on the floor to see it).
Story time: One night Mom was putting the boys to bed and telling them stories. Then I went to kiss them. Denali wanted a story about me in Kindergarten. I told him that I got to take my baby to show-n-tell. I told him that my baby was Aunt McCarty. He said like my Aunt McCarty Bayler's mom. I told him the one and only. He stopped and said wow mom you are freaking me out.
When we got home Greg was over joyed to see us. The boys wanted an outside movie night. Greg was awesome he set it all up since Colvin and I were not feeling 100%. The next 3 days was a "mom party" I just rocked and held my sick kids. (I really love and hate that) it was a blessing because I was sick too so I would of been down regardless. After 3 days of everyone being sick Denali was so happy that no one had throw up that day so tomorrow they could have a treat. Silver lining.
I believe that boys can do any house work that girls can. Every week we clean the bathroom. They clean the toilets, floors, and garbage. They are really good at it.
Denali's blue blanket needed to get fixed. The back was falling off and the fabric was like paper. He got to pick out his new back. I was kind of scared of what he would do after the fix but he was really excited. We watched a show about getting a new snuggly thing (On Noddy the Noddy-Corn had a favorite ball that broke. They made him a new one and after everyone gave it a snuggle it felt just like the old one.) We all had to snuggle blue blanket.
Our City was running a promotion for a free new sprinkler system. (They want to track water usage) They installed the coolest sprinkler setup. You run everything off an app. I feel like the Jetsons.
BIG NEW 12 YRS - and GOING STRONG most of the time. 2.5 kids 2 homes one dog #'s of cats. I am so grateful that I get eternity to be with my family. Greg and I are going to need it. On our Anniversary (we celebrated it about a month later) I took the boys to a health fair. They gave away prizes all day. Denali was the first big prize of the day. He felt like a million bucks. Poor Colvin, Denali did his best to make Colvin feel special.
FATHERS DAY! Greg wanted a power washer. He spend a whole Saturday washer the whole house. The boys make him cards. I am not sure who was more excited the boys to give him the cards or Greg to receive them. At church they did all about your dad cards; Cute things: Denali said he was 18 feet tall. Colvin said that he loves his dad more than candy.
GREG turned 36 - see blog!! We celebrate birthday for about week in our house. Greg took the family to Incredible II. Denali loved it, Colvin is not quite ready for movie theater were you have to sit the whole time.
We had our first baby doctor appointment. The boys were so excited. (Colvin gets excited when Denali get excited) They even did an ultrasound. Crazy/ Cool how you can love something so small. My due day is Jun 27th. The 19th or 20th would be ok (Brenden and Ace's Birthdays)
We started a new family tradition this year. Dixie and Calvin family reunion every other yr. Proctors got to host the first one. (sorry lack of pictures too much time having fun.) Sierra and McCarty came a day early to help prep. I am not 100% needed the help. When everyone got here it was a zoo. Kids half dressed running wild. Those are the best kind of memories. We went to the Lehi fun center. Not very busy so that was fun. We went to Seven Peaks (for Christmas we all got the pass of all passes) Did a ton of just laughing and talking. We played in the river and reservoir. My boys tried to sleep on the tramp. Lasted till about 12 and 1. Most people slept out side. With that many people you have to have sick kids. Stronger the emotion stronger the memories.
Denali is the best big brother. Sometimes too good, he never wants Colvin to get into trouble so he will do everything for Colvin. It is kind of hard to tell someone not to help. I love that they are the best of friends. I am kind of scared for school to start.
We have wanted to go camping for the last year. We finally went back yard camping, it got colder than we had anticipated I had to get addition blankets in the middle of the night. Back yard camping is the best, you have toilets and showers.
I did a first, I went to the movies all on my own why Greg took the boys to the fun center. It was the remake of overboard. You cannot beat the original.
STORIES: Bra update: I got 3 bra sales and put in a new order. Being sick takes all my motivation.*My Mom's siblings had a weekend together. On Sunday we meet everyone at a park to have ice cream. Mom had told everyone that I was pregnant. Hope everything turns out ok. My Aunt Darla said sorry!
*Talking about the baby: I hate being sick but the days that I am not super sick scares me. Greg just knows I am crazy, I have to agree.
*Big family new: Brenden and McCarty are stopping the milk business. On to new adventurers.
