The main event for the whole year is CHRISTMAS!
The boys did
really good and had tons of fun with all the countdown stuff.
Our Christmas tradition
is going on the train to see the lights. It is never easy but worth it. We were
later than planned due to a diaper change. Then the boys forgot their
gloves and my phone. They had to run in winter gear to the van. (we had parked
in the north forty). I was on the plat form crying and yelling, RUN. The TSA
agent held the door for us, the boys stepped in and the train took off. In SL we
meet up with Greg and went to a nice chines restaurant. We looked like a nice businessman
had picked up a homeless group. Colvin took his shoes and socks off in the
middle of the restaurant. MEMORIES.
We had to change
our $5 gift to $10 since we only had time for Wal-Mart. Fun to see the kid’s personalities
in their presents.
It was so fun
because both boys understood it this year. They were in our bed at 7. We made
them wait till Sister woke up, it was about 8. The TV in our room saved
us.
Santa brought the
kids hover boards (on to a story; Colvin's would not charge we ended up having
to buy 3 before we found one that would work for him. The good news was we
were able to get him a really nice one. There has to be Christmas story.) They
hover ALL over the house. They are going to be lasting present, better this summer
when we can go out. Azalyn got a walker that was a unicorn. She is not so
sure but was a little overwhelmed with everything.
Christmas night we went
to the VA home to be with Greg's dad. We gave all the kids Disney blankets to be
opened at the VA. They LOVED them. Greg also got me a minky blanket, he let me exchange it but I could not return it.
Greg's main presents;
The Harry Potter picture book (first 3 books) Pen State shirts.
Syringa's main presents;
crock pot, clothing, Colvin got me lotion so I could smell good.
Denali got lots of
games. Yes, we had to play them all.
Colvin got tons of
Pj's he had to try all of them all.
Azalyn toys.
We ended the Christmas
month with the Spanish Fork lights. ALL the kids thought they were magical. We
went after Christmas, not as many cards so we got to go around twice.
