March

Hard month for my hand. Mother nature has PMS. It will be 50+ one day then 30 the next and snow, Migraine city. Does not help that most of the family is still sick. I was having a hard day and crashed when Azalyn took a nap. When I woke up, I thanked Colvin for letting me sleep, he thanked me for giving him free free time. Win for all.
Big News: Both Denali and Colvin got new belts in Karate. White with a colored stripe (yellow for Denali and Orange for Colvin). I cannot believe how much they have improved in such a short time. Denali has scheduled his baptism for May 2. He misses April by one day. Big new for me: I stopped pumping. It was bittersweet, but I have SO much more time.
We had a walking SEP and Denali was overjoyed to be the teacher. It was his time to shine. We are looking into a new charter school for the boys. Denali is on the fence Colvin is excited. My feeling was whatever we choose. I really hate that answer.
The boys helped me clean out boxes from the garage (I have been saving boxes all winter for the pool). We took the family to skate night. The kids did the bounce houses and had a blast. It was fun to see my old ward friends. The kids have gotten into Pokémon Go; we took them on a bike ride to the catch Pokémon they had a blast. Greg had been catching pokie balls for them on the train. Denali has discovered Spanish Fork Monopoly. I can play for about 30min.  Colvin is a prankster, he asked for weeks for an empty glue bottle, then put milk in in and pranked us (I cleaned out the glue bottle and poured in the milk). NO DON'T EAT GLUE!
Bad mommy story: I put Azalyn to bed in just a diaper. I thought she was asleep till I started hearing playing noises. When I checked the baby monitor all I saw was a bare butt. My heart sunk when I went in... she had pooped and was playing in it. Yep, it was not fun to clean up. Poor Azalyn has my dad’s square feet. It is so hard finding her shoes. Here hair is getting long enough that I can start experimenting, so fun!
Had to get out of Dodge people be crazy. We went to Sierras. Funny story: one-night Axel got up to go potty. He was not 100% awake and just crawled in bed with me and Colvin. If all this sickness was not enough Utah had a 5.7 earthquake. All of Salt Lake shut down. Greg was on the train for 4 hrs. did not get to SL just has to wait to make his way home. Mom woke me up at Sierras to make sure I was ok (she did not know I was in Idaho) she had told me NOT to come to her house. If you want a secret to stay secret, then only 2 people can know, and one must be dead. McCarty called me just as Sierra brought home chicks. (it was Chick days, and she was calling all morning). McCarty yelled at me and made me tell mom I was not home.  The next morning Dad called and asked nicely if I would come visit. I did not go home; I went to moms. Back to Sierra's the kids loved the baby chicks. My kids want chickens so bad. Sierra had a big pile of tumble weeds that she let me burn. The kids thought it was fun to watch. To top it all off we had a cold hot dog roast. On to moms. Something kind of cool, mom had a nail appointment she cancelled that morning, and it was not filled so I took it. Her nail lady is incredibly talented. Watched Sierra's kids with mom and made modeling clay outside. We had a blast getting messy. Dad cannot handle messy. I was going to go home Sunday, but rumor had it the boards were closing so I went home bright and early Saturday. It felt like a long drive since I am not sure what life is going to bring.
Crazy hit as soon as I got home. First: home-based school, HARD! (yes, all schools in Utah closed) I thought since I already had Colvin it would not be a huge transition WRONG. Harder since I can only help one at a time and Denali does school for about 2 hours compared to Colvin 30 min. I also came home with a really bad stomach bug. Greg was super busy getting all his at home stuff setup, he is now working from home too. (SL closed).
We had to get out, headed to the drive in, it was 30 degrees. Worth it, we watched On Ward. I cried and cried. Love my Dad and Siblings.
I have to see the silver lining; on the day of the Color Festival, it was freezing (good thing it was post pone till Sep)
Idaho also had an earthquake life is getting crazy.
Thought: If Sundays is not your favorite day of the week you are doing it wrong.*see COVID-19 Blog
