Just breath and keep
calm. I am not calm when the presser is on. Greg got me a bench for our
anniversary. It was delivered while Greg was in class, the boys and I decided
to put it together. We got it done but there might have been a little yelling.
The kids are great helpers. They helped me clean out the frig. Denali was not
happy. I told him when I was a kid, we cleaned the frig all the time. He had to
call Grandma to confirm. The boys are getting really good at mowing the lawn.
It helps me so much since I can get started on the other stuff. We took
Greg to the Vineyard park. I sleep on the tramp with Denali. Colvin went in so
Dad would not be alone. The kids and I cleaned and organized the shed. They got
snow cones and sunburns.
Azalyn has much fun running ALL around. We love to have family pool nights. Azalyn was playing on the tramp and flipped off. Her life jacket cushioned the fall.
We hosted the Proctor 4th of July party. Without the Stadium of Fire, we did not want to chance Provo. I kept changing my mind on what I wanted to have for dinner. We ended up having burritos (with tons of hamburger buns in the freezer). For the 4th we went to the Spanish Fork Reservoir. I think most of Spanish had the same idea. Tana brought her paddle board, and it was so fun. We had a neighborhood fire work show we watched for about 30min. Then came back to our street and did our own fireworks. (Sonya might have brought fireworks from WY). We had a great time. The next week we went to a new reservoir with Tana. No sand for the kids but the paddle board was fun. I showed up two groups of teenage boys by jumping off a tree stump.
We finally went back to church, kind of. It is every other week for 30 min, but it was so nice getting to see other people. We had the smallest baby and the loudest. There were maybe 30 people. There was one talk; during his talk he mentioned it was so nice hearing the sound of church. Greg wanted to stand up and say YOUR WELCOME! At home church is so nice, one week we were wrapping up and Colvin said I want to say my testimony.
On Tik Tok I discovered strip washing. 1 cup borax 1 cub washing or baking soda, and a good amount of laundry detergent. (This was for one full bathtub of towels) Then let it sit for 8-hour stirring ever few hours. Gross but it does make everything CLEAN! Note: not for delicates, harsh clean.
My hard drive is just a hunk of medal. Someday I might get something off it. The boys went to the dentist and had no cavities. They got ice cream. Azalyn was given ice cream too. I am so proud of myself; I actually got stuff out of my garden. Pees, cucumbers, and Tomatoes.
Ok for the main event: Here are just some fun highlights. I drove down to Sierras’. I am not sure why, but it was one of the hardest drives ever. I should have stopped. The next day we went on a canoe ride with my family minus Greg and ALL Sierra’s family. Azalyn should not go into the Navy. Only due to a makeshift sail and lot of praying we made it all the way to Pillar Falls. Preston took Azalyn and I to the dock then went back for everyone else. A lady asked if he drowned his wife and baby. He said it was my sister-in-law, but he never said he did not drown us.
The next day Sierra and I, along with 7 kids left in a 15-passenger van for an 8-hr. drive. We had 10lbs. of gummy sharks, huge jaw brakers and kindles for all. McCarty was so excited when we arrived. Baler got in the van and asked where we were going. We got to experience all the weather in OR. It was so hot the first day. We could have won a wet t-shirt contest. (I bought fans for all the rooms). We went to a you pick Raspberries farm, that was no fun, just go buy them. We picked blackberries. They are like a weed, every were. The best picking was blueberries. We picked them twice and came home with 45lbs, 2 coolers full. I love having Sisters. McCarty learned my Tik Tok foot dance.
Beach 3 adults 2 hr. and 9 kids SO FUN! We spend 5 hrs., and everyone was kind of sad when we left. We sun screened the kids, but since it was overcast, we forgot to sunscreen us. Sierra could hardly put on a shirt the rest of the week, blistered. We tough Baler the word B-och. Almost got in a car wreck. We had to wear mask in all public buildings, they wanted us to wear mask in the fields picking berries, but we took them off. We went to the river on the last day. McCarty's diaper bag stolen. With all 3 phones and 2 wallets (I do not want to dwell on the bad) there were same major blessing. I was able to recover my photos. I was able to get a phone to come home with. Sierra had her wallet. Brendon and McCarty let me borrow money to get home. New phrase, “that is so 2020"(bad). I let Denali stay up and play games with the adults the last night. He was overjoyed. We spend 5 full day 6 night, and it was sad coming home.
Greg home alone for a week bought a $70 suit. Looks good. Lost and found Sonya's dog on the 24th. After finding it let it sleep with him so that he would not lose it again. Put in new bathroom sink faucet, in our bathroom. They are a waterfall faucet I love them.
My boys ended up staying in Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa. Colvin was overjoyed and Denali was not so sure. Denali called me every night asking me how much longer. Colvin would talk to me for about 5 min. Denali said he was never doing this again. Colvin said he was never going home. I came home with Azalyn really really late Saturday night. The next morning, she was saying Hi Hi to nothing. She gave her brothers BIG hugs when she saw them.
I had a cousin party at my house why the boys were gone. It really tripped my brain only having Azalyn to look out for.
I went to Idaho with Timber to pick up the boys. (she also picked up her niece and nephew from the other side) We had to stop and say hi to Trujillo. We picked up dinner for everyone. Then on to moms. We took the boat out twice. My boys wanted the crazy rides. Colvin got bounced off and was happy about it. Denali bounced but keep on the tube. We went to Bourns. It was too hot to be in the tubs, but the rope swing was fun. July was packed with fun!
