September

If something does not look dirty don't clean it. I cleaned my carpets, and the water was black. I slept on the tramp with the boys. All 3 of us made it all night. It was colder than expected.  We took our last seven peaks run. The water was definitely on the cold end. We only stayed about 2 hours. I have no clue what is going to happen next summer.  We checked out the new library park, big thumbs way DOWN. I bet it was great on paper, but it does not work for a family with big and little kids. The boys have been watching a show called, "Lego Master". We made our own Lego Master challenge. It was fun to watch the boys minds work.
Denali had a cavity to fix but he kept twitching. (He hates the sounds) We had to put him under. I tried to warn them that light weightiness runs in the family. Well, he slept for a long time, and was out of it the rest of the day. Yep, he is mine! The upside they were able to do a lot of work and even pulled a tooth.  Kids are all so different and I am so different as a mom. With Denali I was mean when cleaning. He could pick up his toys by 2. Azalyn, she picked up 10 blocks and I was jumping up and down. If I do one thing right as a mom, it is conference. They pick a word every talk and then that word can be turned in for candy. My kids LOVE conference.
Greg’s dad really needs to get out, but the VA does not want us to take him places. We did a dinner in the park. It was fun just to be outside. Having older cousins to chase your kids is a HUGE bonus.
We upgraded Greg’s car. We put cross bars (there is no storage, so we bought a roof storage) it goes from a cool car to a dad car. We installed running boards for his kids and short wife.
Why we were doing car stuff I decided I really needed to clean out my car. It took me 2 days of vacuuming and cleaning. When I was done, I told the boys that if they got it dirty, I could eat them like a dragon. They thought it was funny but did take their trash inside.  After cleaning the carpet and still having it be gross, I ripped it out. It took about 2 weeks and ruffly $100. But it looks fabulous. The main thing I would do different is get a whole vinyl sheet we did vinyl tile. My thanks goes to Greg who help me with the hard small parts (corners), and YouTube.
You have to keep things in perspective: We were driving to school in the van. There was a nice convertible in front of us. Denali started to laugh, he said mom look half a car. It does not even have a roof. Mom your van might have a dent but at lease it has a roof.
Azalayn is never happy when daddy leaves (I don't know what she is going to do if he ever has to go back to the office). We went to helped clean out Greg’s Grandma's room. Azalyn got a purse and neckless. Then she went to Costco knowing she was dolled up. I found the best mom hack for Azalayn. She HATES to sit, so sitting in a shopping cart is just too hard. I went to the dollar store and bought a balloon. That way when I turn my back and she wonders off I can still find her.
I NEVER want to forget September. This year I had an epiphany we are remembering the wrong day. We should be remembering the twelve when we were ONE nation.
I got to help at the book fair for the school. It was so FUN! I love being part of the school.
The boys got a new belt. I love seeing how they have grown. It is a bittersweet of not having to be involved so much and wanting to really be a part of them.
I found a song that capturers my mentality constantly (I did not put the link because it has to do with a video game and the music video is dumb) It is called, "I feel like a monster”
Blessing: we had a ward party; it rained all morning stopped for the party and rained the rest of the day.
We used the rest of our Christmas present for 2019. Movie tickets, we took the kids to Paw Patrol the movie. They loved it even Azalyn stood and watched it the whole time.  The school also had skate night. It was empty compared to years passed.  (The theme for everything) but it was so fun. The kids ran for 2 hours.
I love that life is moving forward. Sierra and Mom came down for the color festival. (McCarty's family got COVID). We had Julie's and Markus Family over for a movie night. I even put up the water slide for cousins. It is all about the memories. Then the main event the color festival. There was only about one-third of the people, but we were still very colorful. Colvin and Denali each got to crowd surf. We were the life of our own party.
To end the fun, I went on the water diet for 4 days. I have never been so sick on it, but it just goes to show how much my body needed it. I love doing Azalyns hair. Greg says that it is against the Geneva code. She is really good with a movie and toys.
