BIG news for the
colder weather is we got access to Paramount (like Disney) The best part was it
had "Paw Patrol" the movie. The boys discovered they could watch it 3
times in one day, and they could have watched it 4 but we made them go to
church.
Last time at Lagoon. We made some great lasting memories at lagoon. We got our money’s worth. This time Frightmares was running. The boys got to walk a 3 star (out of 5) hunted house with their dad. They claimed they loved it but they have yet to sleep the whole night in their own bed so who knows. For the last hurrah Greg went on the teacups and I went on the jumping dragons.
Sunday conference was really good. My takeaway was 1% better every day. My better was trying to help Greg make lunch or think about him during lunch. Azalyn needs to help clean up. I need to have more patients at bedtime.
I know that exercise does more for me, mentally and physically, than anything else. The downside is I hate to take the time to exercise. I find it beyond boring. I do like to push myself. Every day after I exercise, I do pushups and every day I do one more. I started at 10 and now I am up to 17.
I was able to participate in a field trip with Denali. I got to be a 1800's teacher. They have this whole "village" that they have turned into stations. They have renovated an old School house. It was so fun to wear a hoop skirt. Denali loved that I got to eat lunch with him.
As a family we went to Jakers. It is so nostalgic for me. I have been going to Jakers since Denali was a baby. Azalyn was not so sure she liked getting her feet dirty, but she loved the corn. After we went to La Casita, that was where I met Greg’s family for the first time 15 years ago. Fun to sonter down memory lane.
You have to see all the blessings in your life. This summer I fixed the heating element on the dryer. However, every time I use the dryer the upstairs got hot. When Greg got looking into it the dryer hose was not in the wall. Blessing something did not catch on fire. I was able to fix it but boy what a mess, lint everywhere.
Azalyn crooped again. It was worse than last time, but I had Greg. We were outside for about 45min. Then steam for about 15. Took us about 2 hours to get her breathing enough to fall asleep. NOT happy or good but so grateful I had Greg with me. I still love watching hair tik-tok. Funny I love doing her hair but hate doing mine.
Temple Open houses are important for us. We want our kids to know how important the temple is. The whole family (minus Timber's fam) got tickets for the Pocatello open house. Satan does NOT want you to have a good time. The only thing is, he only has control if you let him. I was getting wound up and had to stop and breathe. It rained the entire day. When we got home Colvin had had way too many snacks, threw them up on the white carpet. Still great memories.
VEGAS: we look forward to our Vegas trip every year. Every year it is different, but we love it anyway. This year it was the end of our craziness. It was time for us to just refocus. We took Greg's car and with the headphones and DVD it was a GREAT drive. Greg and I got to talk and listen to our own books. I did my first major Wal-Mart pick up order and it was fantastic. It was a little cooler and no hot tub, but the water was really nice. Colvin got swimmers ear, the sand and playroom were our friends. We even played on the grass. I am putting this in for future reference. We got curry one night and it was SOO good. Ate it for the rest of the week. It is funny how kids see things and how adults see things. Going to the mall and getting "souvenirs" is the highlight of the trip for the boys. It is HE$$ for us the parents. Our big splurge this year was the rain forest cafe. It was fun to try. The kids loved walking the strip. The last night we had to make our own hot tub.
BIG NEWS: Greg is starting at Vanguard on NOV 15. He has to get his 66 and 24. We will be moving to the Scottsdale area the end of January to first of February. We got the news in Vegas I had a moment to freak out and Tana cried with me. When we move, we are going to need an air hockey table. Denali said, "mom I am going to need a pool with a slide” The homes in AZ are $$ but they are nice. Poor McCarty, Idaho has trailers for $$. Way more to come.
Fun news my cousins husband Tripp got to ref a world series game.
McCarty got a VAN, big step for her. She came down with her in-laws. None of us felt 100% when we got home from Vegas. I was asleep when her in-laws dropped off the kids. No one woke me up, but the kids were playing when I got up so win. It was a fun fast trip for McCarty, but sister time is always good no matter what. She left because mom and Grandma Afton came down. They came down for the kid’s primary program. Grandma Afton did really good with the kids, but she could not handle yelling or crying.
It has rained liked crazy, Denali told me he liked the rain because I cannot make him do hard outside jobs. I put the boys in a once a week after school program. Craft for Colvin and Guitar lessons for Denali. They ask when it is Thursday all week. My kids make me laugh all the time. They found a follow me dance on YouTube. It was so fun watching them "dance"
Halloween: Denali was a vampire (I told him to tell everyone he was Edward, he asked why) Colvin was venom (bad spider man) Azalyn was Minnie mouse. I was really worried that it was going to be freezing but it ended up being nice weather. Trunk or treating was fun. Greg was able to come so I got to chase the kids around. The funny thing was, it was my Refeed day (did the water diet again) but I ate a donut. We carved pumpkins Halloween day. We cleaned out pumpkins with my beater and it worked like a charm. Thank you, internet. The kids thought trick or treating was fun. Azalyn got about 90% around the hood and was done. She had ran the whole time. The boys were determined to finish every last house.
The boys finally gave their summer tithing to the bishop. Then we had the best day at church. There are blessings for whatever we do.
