March

We were not home most of the month. We started off still in Idaho.
I got to go with Mom and Grandma to an evaluation. Yes, she has severe memory loss. Mom is loving her alive. Then I got to go to YM/YW with mom. We did a scavenger hunt throughout the church. Our group won, mom wants to teach this group of youth that church can be fun. Funny story: One night Denali was sleep walking, mom asked what he was doing he said, “looking for my mom.” She brought him to my bed he slurred, “I really cannot sleep I have to find my mom.”  Dad heled Colvin make earing for his teacher. I did mom toes. Greg made it to Idaho. I hung up on him as he was trying to get directions to moms.  Not the nicest wife.  We then traveled back across the state to Sierra's. We were all going swimming at a hot swimming pool. It was just my kids, Z had had a bad day and Mom met McCarty. Mace came with us for swimming. I asked if his parents ever fight, nope, my mom just says move your butt.  Azalyn was so tired she fell asleep in the pool in my arms. McCarty came down the next day. Women time is the best. Just talking about life and relating. We were outside looking at the horses and watched a bunny hop by. Right after it comes snuggles. We took off running and yelling at snuggles to save the bunny.
Let’s talk about the house. Greg and the realtor did a great job staging our house. We had a scheduled walkthrough within the hour it went live. We had some really great offers FAST. We got to go home a day early. It was so nice getting home, but I now live in a house not a home. Keeping the kids hands off everything is going to be a challenge.
Now that our house is officially under contract let’s talk about house hunting. There is very little on the market right now. My phone is stuck to my eyes 24-7 I had to limit myself for my mental health.  We put an offer on a house with lots of competition, with the thought why not us. We do not want to buy a house sight unseen. We made a fast trip to Arizona. I knew the moment we pulled up to the house it was not right for us. The kitchen was so small, and the whole town just felt dirty. The back yard was perfect for us. Greg knew the next morning that we had to pull out.  We went to the zoo for some family fun. I did not realize how big the Phoenix Zoo was.  The highlight for the kids was they got to ride a camel. Colvin thought the big cactus’s were so cool. Denali said it was so pretty. Azalyn loved the sun. We were able to go swimming at the hotel. There was a hot pool and a little COLD pool.
Best Story for the drive home: 2 lane highways are Greg's Nemesis. He cannot stand being behind bad drivers. It was a 2 lane highway 60 MPH. A truck got in the fast lane 2 times in a passing zone. Greg had reached his limit the 3rd passing lane. He went 90, was weaving in and out of traffic. Honked at and flipped off a few vehicles. I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. I don't think I have ever seen my husband lose it like that.
Denali had a big Utah Project due right as we got home. Greg helped him. We got to go to the "Fair"  at the school. Azalyn cried when we had to leave. She is so bord without friends.
I dyed my hair back to a dark brown. It is weird to Greg and I how normal my hair is. I found nail wraps at the dollar store. There is not a huge selection, but they are a dollar. They are actually really good.   Daylight saving is my nemesis and with trips to Arizona it adds an extra layer of dislike.
Denali had his last school store, he made a game and sold it.
Greg had tons of homework, so we did food truck in the park, only took us two years. Then I took the kids to the school talent show. It was a cute elementary talent show.
Our Saturdays were consumed with virtual house tours. We put an offer on a home in Surprise. It is farther from Greg’s work than we wanted, but there was just nothing for us closer.  We both felt so much peace with this house. The last house was like a piranha feeding fest. We had to make the house show ready one more time why we made another trip to Surprise. We felt so much better about this house. The yard is smaller but there is green space close and really nice parks. We went bowling after for some fun memories. Spiritual thought: Satan wants the crazy, Heavenly father wants the peace.
Main event: Color festival. Sierra and McCarty stuff 8 people into McCarty's van and headed to my house. We hiked the Y with 3 adults and 9 kids. McCarty got sick as we started but she made it to the top. We had to pack the 3 littles about 1/2 the way. Everyone from Baler up ran most of the way. When we were resting at the top A guy ran up and said 5:13 (or some dumb low time) we were like us to if you have it hours not min. Timber came the next day. We did nails for 2 hours while the boys watched a movie. We did a talent show. My family is impressive. However, one thing I learned is don't plan anything, you just do you can don't worry about others.
The Color Festival: It was fun, but we were all crazy tired. I really try to stay positive on the blog. Baler understood the color thing right away and loved it. He was not happy when he was out of chock. Greg was a rock star and watched the kids in the bounce housed.  We only stayed for one color throw because they only did one every 90min. Then McCarty stuff 8 people and a pool into her van on the way home.
Denali is very excited about this new adventure. Colvin is trying to be brave
We know that the lord is on our side. He knows what we need more than we do. FAITH!
