Run till you drop in the
Sun.
We have to start summer out by
cleaning. Clothing was our big project. Colvin Likes what he likes and does not
want a ton. He also HATES shopping. Denali is getting a style of his own.
Azalyn just has an over whelming amount of clothing.
The boys were on a summer Swim
Team. They improved and learned so much. Our first swim meet we were not prepared
for how long and HOT it was. We had snacks but we need FOOD. Every swim meet we
got better and better. 5 hours of sitting for 4 min of swimming. I did discover
that timing is really fun and makes the meets go by so much faster. Azalyn even
packed her own "bag" of toys, coloring, books and treats.
About 3 times a year our ward
is asked to make lunches for homeless people on a work detail. I was able to
sign up this time. I had an idea for the lunches, but when I told
the boys what we were doing they jumped on the band wagon. They just kept wanting to add more and more.
We had to put two sacks together in order to hold it all. Greg and I got to
deliver them. What a humbling experience. We are blessed.
Random: We finally found good
Donuts in Arizona. I finally made another wreath. It was for Sierra when we got
to Idaho. The boys also made little wreaths. It was fun to do but I had to run
to the dollar store a few times to get more supplies and it made a MESS!! I
took the kids to the lake, and we were able to pet a Donkey. The boys and I
also did a little cliff jump. We got new pool decking we went a few shades
darker, now I need COLOR!
Denim was able to come
and spend a few days with us. Greg and I were able to go to the Temple since
she could drive the boys to and from swim.
Greg’s inspiration: what to teach for his lesson. My inspiration: Don’t take the van to Idaho.
We had such a fun time with her. We took her to Up Town Alley (I could
not hit a bowling pin to save my life.) We took her to Hurricane Harbor, and
the swimming pool. We even had an outside movie night. We had to cram
everything into the time we had. We were all sad to see her
leave.
STORY TIME: The boys finally
earned their VR sets. We got 2 and they were really good to share with Sister.
The boys all went to activity days I was going to be a good mom and help Azalyn
play VR. Well, it is really real. I was chopping a pepper and trying to
place it on the table, well there was no table. I crashed right into the brick
fireplace. On my face, I was bleeding and HURT. Tried to text and call
Greg but he was at activity days. (He can never be mad at me for not answering
the phone anymore) When he got home, he took me to the ER. I was embarrassed
and did not want to say what happen. After 3 nurses came it dawned on me
that I should just own it. (They really thought Greg had done something.)
I ended up with 5 stitches (2 in my chin just like Azalyn) 3 in my lip (I had
bit it all the way through) I broke my nose, fractured bones in my jaw (just
let them heal on their own ate only soft foods for a week) jammed my ring
finger. I looked ruff. Greg: I love you, but you are not at your best. Denali: Mom,
when are you going to be pretty again Colvin: Mom you look scary.
Sierra and McCarty had to make sure everyone heard the story at the
family reunion. My cousin ended up pulling out the stitches.
Blessing: We went to the Drive
in and watched Elementary. The Honda died. We were not sure what to do because
the Honda battery is under tubing. We have never been able to connect cables. Well,
we asked the people next to us for help and was able to get cables connected.
Greg did his lesson (he teaches elders quarm once a month and has to find his
own topic for his lesson) it went really well. He is growing so much with his
callings.
