November

It is the start of the Holidays.  Thanksgiving is the appetizer, Something I have engrained into my kids.
It finally cooled off enough outside, that I was able to sleep outside with Denali. Yep, in Arizona you wait for the cold not the hot.  Colvin and Azalyn slept with Dad.  We each started a movie with the kids, but everyone was too tired to finish.    When you are used to 90 at night 70 was cold.  We stayed in the sleeping bag all night, I almost wished for a sweater.
We have really worked on less free time.  I tell the kids they can clean or play, for some reason they all ways choose to play.   The funny thing is there is nothing to play until they start to play then there is always something to play.   The one downside is it gets dark about 5:30.
Azalyn had a field trip to the children's museum; I took all the kids.  We went to every room and every floor.  After lunch we stayed at our favorites.   The boys loved this pool noodle forest (the pool noodles were hanging from the ceiling) you could play hide and seek in them.  Azalyn loved the “store”.
Sad: Colvin and Az got a 24-hour bug.   Colvin liked to throw up in the sink (sorry TMI), but he hated me touching him why he was throwing up.  He slept with me and snuggled.   Azalyn threw up with her whole body.  She did not make it to the bathroom once and that is because she slipped in it.  She felt so bad I think she felt worse that she did not make it to the bathroom then slipping in it.   Denali and I were the lucky ones that did not get it.  Greg got a mild version.
Since my kids were sick all plans went out the window.   I made Christmas wreaths to give to every family at thanksgiving.  They are so fun to make but I make multiple trips to the dollar store.  Hint: having a little bit of a pattern makes them go so much faster.  This got me thinking about Christmas.  I did 99% of my shopping online.  I feel bad about the old days when people had to go into stores.  Not sure who one this year Temu or Amazon.
I took Az to her first birthday party.  I ended up staying with her.  It was for a kid in her primary class, and I teach his sister in nursery. (the birthday was for all 3 siblings) It was fireman themed. The mom went all out.  Had hats, food and sippy cups all fireman themed.  Then they had a firetruck come (it was a party firetruck) but the kids loved it.  They got to shoot the hose, go on a ride and climb all over the truck.
This is a plug-in for Greg: for activity days they did a show and teach.  Colvin took his hoverboard.  A kid taught them how to make eggs and toast.  Colvin had to make it for breakfast.  Showed Azalyn how to cook an egg. It is her new favorite thing
Denali: He wrote a really scary creepy story: Here is the first chapter:
Chapter 1
The killers back story
“My name actually is Dave my parents were concerned for me because I was cursed, they used to say. My arms, legs, and stomach could grow any size I wanted. My class mats used to call me names like the devil’s minion or like big, tall skinny dude and just really mean names. My best friend Dave had died just before 4th grade started. This made me really angry. He was killed by the worst killer at that time.  I grabbed a knife and went looking for him. Took me about a week to find him.  I used my power/curse to my advantage hitting him. After a very long and not at all easy fight I won. My little brain told me that what I just did was fun. After him I killed 14 little kids on my little hideout in a little town at the bottom of Green Creek Valley in the town called Missopa.” But as I killed more of the little people who lived there the government built a new compound to save the world of robbers AMA. Anti murder aplacatoin. Out of what remains only about 50 people stopped by and out of the 50 people only 6 went to work and stop the silent killer. These 50 people Jess, Jessaca, daisy, mark, Jeb, and Jed.
Greg and I had a big talk with him about does he feel this way.  And WHY, He said I just had to think of the scariest thing for me.  He got a 100% on creepy.  Denali is growing like a weed.  I finally figured out how to make wings and my elote sauce.  The first night Denali ate 14 wings and 8 rolls.
Colvin: Loves just doing his own thing most of the time.  His favorite thing is if I sit by him why he watches YouTube.  Colvin says he hates games but when we make him play, he has fun.
Azalyn: One day she said mom I don’t want to go to school I just want a US day.  I told her she would have to clean.  She was 100% great.  She would clean then we did our nails, clean, nap, school.  Sometimes you just need a you day.  When I am dead on my feet, I will turn on a show and close my eyes on the couch.  One day I closed my eyes and woke up to Azalyn saying mom don’t close your eyes anymore I don’t want you to sleep.
I have been trying to spend more one-on-one time with the kids.  The best way is to have them each go on a dog walk with me.   Colvin just loves to talk to you; Denali just wants to tell you a story and Az just loves to run.
Just some fun: Sonya came down and we got to meet up for lunch.  It was fun to catch up, we really do miss cousins on that side.
We finally put our Christmas tree up.  We had so much fun now that the kids are a lot of help it only takes about 30min.  We might get more Christmas stuff out.  The tree really does help the season come to life.
Hair: I colored my hair green with pink and blue streaks.  In the light it looks so cool.  I love the fun colors.   Then Azalyn cut her hair (slight A line about jaw length), she was so excited and smiled the whole time.  She looks way to big. I put some pink streaks in her hair.   She was nervous to show people, but I think that grows confidence. I also did a me photo shot.  Some times a girl just needs to feel pretty.
Greg: fast plug, Greg started a new job.  He was hoping that they would give him 2 weeks “Off” that did not happen.  He is very excited but going in with eyes wide open for his new job.  He got to go on a field trip with Denali called Biz Town.  They both had a great time, first filed tip for Greg.
