There is no way to tell you everything. I hope
with words and pictures the feelings can be convert. We laughed,
fought, played, loved each other and made memories. The kids
loved being with cousins. The 3 girls are the best of
frenemies. The first day it was too cold for Az to go outside. She
did not want to freeze to death. However, the 2nd day
it snowed, and she was outside FAST and most of the day. The white
stuff is pretty, but I was ok to leave it behind.
It started out with a bang. In the middle of
nowhere on our way to Vegas we got a hole in our tire. Blessing
there was a traveling tire repair that was about 10 min away. It was
not bad priced and fast.
McCarty searched and searched for an Air BNB that we could
all be together. There were 4 rooms with triple bunk
beds. It really was fun to be together.
We all played, played, and played,
games. Mom could not stand with her knees, so she even sat
down and played. There were old favorite and new games.
Yes, there was family DRAMA, it actually followed us home,
but I am going to focus on the good.
Denali: gamer if there was a game going, he was in
it. Card games are not his favorite
Colvin: could not get enough of Acacia. He loved
playing on the rip stick and scooters outside. He also loved a shock
game (everyone had a handle and the last to press got shocked), he roped
everyone into playing. Too much like Grandpa.
Azalyn: just loved running wild. She really
wanted to smoochy kiss Blazen; He was having none of that.
Some highlights: The food, its thanksgiving, I did not stop
eating for 3 days.
We went to the rec center. The pool and water slide were
fun BUT the first time down I bruised my tail bone. 6+ hours home
was fun sitting, NOT. The kids loved the rock wall. We spent as much
time climbing as we did swimming.
Greg played basketball with the teenagers, his back and
knees let him know that was not a good idea.
We went to the church and Timber taught us
dances. Oh Jonny Oh, and The Virginia reel. The kids had so much fun
with the dances. Then we just turned on music and jammed out for
30min. They were setting up for a funeral and the old
ladies just loved watching us.
A GREAT time was had by ALL! Worth all the time and money!
