I hate funerals. My Uncle has been dyeing since Christmas. When my dad left in December he knew he would never see is BROTHER in law again on this earth. We were able to go to his funeral. When I hugged my aunt she said I hate to say it is good to see you and I told her I am not going to ask how you are doing. The thing I remember most about my Uncle Guy is just how open he was to everything. I don't think I ever truly seen him ever Yell at anyone. We did make some fun memories with cousin. My dad had to talk at the funeral. He started off by getting ready to ride a bronc and tipping a hat. My eyes had pluming issues.
Guy Ernest Twitchell was born on May 12, 1960 in Arco, Idaho to Jerry and Nancy Twitchell. He passed away peacefully in his home on February 16th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Guy grew up in Idaho and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1978. He loved playing sports and was an avid football and basketball player. His favorite memories were riding horses and going on pack trips with his Grandpa Gerald. His childhood dream of becoming a saddle bronc rider started in childhood and continued as he attended college at Snow College in Ephraim Utah, and at CSI in Twin Falls, Idaho. During this time, he met his sweetheart and future wife, Juanita Amy. They were married on June 6th, 1981. Their honeymoon was a PRCA rodeo in Montana. Together they had many adventures, went on many pack trips, and raised two daughters, Brooke and Echo. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple as a family.
Guy’s career was as a general building contractor. He did this for 30 years, and was able to build many beautiful homes in Blaine County, Magic Valley and finished his career in the Lost River Valley. The most meaningful part of his career was the people he had an influence on. Guy loved spending time with his family. His contagious laughter will be missed so much.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Nancy Lynne Montgomery, and his youngest brother Jory William Twitchell. He is survived by his father Jerry Twitchell, wife Juanita (Amy) Twitchell, daughter Brooke Kimball, daughter Echo (J.D.) Kelly, brother Tad Montgomery, brother Tony Twitchell, brother Dusty (Phyllis) Twitchell, sister Vandy (Janette) Twitchell, and 7 grandkids.
As we were driving we got the devastating news that Sonya
Step daughters baby that was 2 mons old passed away in the night. It is a
parents worst nightmary. Sonya said it was so hard to be the grandparent
knowing there was nothing you could say or do. My heart hurt as family
and just as a mom. I know we will get to see all our missing family up in
heaven but boy do we miss them.
