February

February was a breath out month. We went shooting a few times. Denali would help Azalyn but she cannot shut her eye. Got scoped and was done shotting.
We are learning how to compromise. This was our teaching story; there once were two kids that wanted to cross a river. They asked God to build a bridge.  God said no but if you walk out to the rocks, I will help you jump from rock to rock. The first kid did that, their legs were a little wet but nothing major. The 2nd kid said No, God said OK you can swim the whole river.  By the end of swimming, the kid was soaking wet.  If you work with me, I will work with you.
We have been trying to finish projects. For the boys it is finishing all their Lego sets.  I am really good at finding the Lego pieces. I worked on the kids “school” books. It is some of their school assignments. They love looking through them. My last project is organizing my closet. Greg can help for about 30 min.  We have been trying to go out as a family. Two hours is about all Greg can handle. We went to Cave Creek for another 10 min hike. They had a really cool playground
Greg and I have been trying to connect more. Greg is also always COLD, so at night we have been taking baths.  I love the uninterrupted one on one time.  Being around the kids has been good for Greg. Feeling some of the stress of am I good enough. I can empathize with him.  He wants to give each kid a day, Denali did baptisms with his dad. Church side note, a tender mercy can also be called a Jesus wink. Like I see you I got you. Mom and I went and did baptisms with a new convert in our ward.  Greg also is having to go through the stages of grief when it comes to schools. Been there done that.
The hot days and cool nights kill Azalyn’s lungs.  Breathing is a requirement for school.  Note to self that 3 days of coughing, then apple cider vinegar. It tastes like sh$$$ but helps.  About kids; Azalyn had a one day cheer clinic and LOVED it, I think we all know her 1-2 3-4 5-6. The boys have been riding their bikes a lot.  We have been using our library gift cards. We went to Chick-fil-a for Breakfast, it was really good. We were invited to our first family game night. We have older kids, but it was still fun. Then we had the family over for movie night, I just talked the whole time, but time well spent. We went to Dog Man as a family.  Azalyn loved it and she watched the whole thing. It made me miss my little boys. Sad bike story, we were taking a family trip to WinCo and Azalyn crashed on her bike. We ran her to the ER, but they did not do stitches.
Just life:  I had a tea party for book club, and it was so fun. Most of us dressed up and we tried different foods, and snacks.  I went to another doctor, and they now have to send me to an OB. Only they don’t have an opening till April. Good thing I am not dying.  Mom and Dad came, it will be nice having them. Mom went on a field trip to the zoo with Azalyn. They also got to go to lunch with the kids. Greg and Dad went with Azalyn. Mom and I got to go with Denali.  This year will be their first year with nothing but here. No Grandma or trips. I wanted to do 50 pushups, I started with 10 and would do one more every day. Greg recorded me on day 50 and wow were they bad. Had to start over.
Thoughts on a home; one year to just unpack and find everything.  Year two organize and add things you need, like shelving.  Year 3 put your self into it, we did our outside. Planted a tons; 4 grape vines, lemon tree, pomegranate tree (for our landscaper), plum tree, peach tree, tomatoes, strawberries, and tons of flowers, 5 pots full.   Greg and Dad had to find all our water lines. Found out we have two water lines. 90% of our out side plants were not getting watered.
Family News: Abe got his mission call, he is going to the Natal Brazil Mission.
Best News Ever: Greg got his pick line out. Huge blessing.
Mom knows best story, for YM they did a whittling activity.  Denali asked Grandpa to sharpen his knife. I said not a good idea. As I dropped him off at YM I handed him band aids. Yep, he cut himself but not too bad, just 3 band aids worth. Sometimes you just have to cut yourself in life to learn.   Getting slowly back to normal.
