Back to life but also fun.
We started March out with Denali’s play. I am going to stay positive, but his play was
one day in the middle of the day. Greg
was able to make it, thanks to his back. Mom and Dad made it along with one of
Denali’s young men’s leaders. I love watching Denali perform.
Marriage tip: I am not good at getting my point across when
I am hurt in a nice productive way.
Pray, the lord will help you improve.
Kids: I got bob books at the library, Azalyn loves
them. She read them over and over confidence
is key. Azalyn and Colvin each got their
day with dad. They both were not happy, I made them help me clean for 10
min. They both went to lunch with dad
and just wanted to play games with him. Keeping real but positive, the kids
love going to the park on bikes, roller blades or just running. We had to make
a rule that no one could go alone. Killed their outside time. Now that Greg is home he is seeing things,
one of the first things I did when moving here was get a sand pit. Just a big plastic
pool. Greg bought a huge, nice wood sand pit, and put really nice sugar sand in
it. We had to mix about 3 to 1 normal sand in, because the sugar was $$ and got
everywhere. Story. Last time we got sand we had the van. We were just going to
get the bags of sand, but we needed soo much.
I had dad put a tarp in the Honda and we went to a construction site.
Saved Tons of money. I took Denali to an orthodontist, the best appointment I have
had in a long time. The doctor answered all my questions. What we got out of
it, Wait as long as we can for braces. Side note; Denali is officially 6 feet tall.
Colvin got student of the month, they
put up blacklights. Their school tries to give the kids good memories. Mom got to go on a field trip with Colvin, Dad
just happened to be at the museum at the same time. Sad news: we finally took
down our tree. As much as I miss it, it does open up the room.
Baseball: We had tons of free tickets because of our winter reading. Last year
we had 30 tickets and only used 8. This year we wanted to use more. Mom and Dad went to a few games. Mom loved it.
We got rained out one game and one game was sold out. Our favorite game was the
night game. Greg got a really good sunburn on his face. Colvin did get one ball.
Old school: Denali found the old school version of the
Oregon Trail game. Took me right back to 1st grade on the old-school
see-through mac computers. I still have not made it to Oregon.
Greg went back to work: he was really scared but with a
blessing, fasting and praying it ended up being great. Yes, we miss him
especially the kids but mentally it was so good for him. He loves his job and
boss. He is really starting to hate the drive.
With Greg going back to work I have really tried to do the 10 min with
the kids. Teens and toddlers; Denali just wants to snuggle. Colvin wants me to
do something with him; play a game or work on his Lego project with him. Azalyn
just wants to talk, she loves when I ask her questions.
The #1 reason my kids go to charter schools; uniforms. Spirit
week is the hardest week of the year. We
had day one and day 2 mixed up, had to change in 5 min. On royal day, the boys let
me know on the way to bed they wanted crowns. Got up early and made fast crowns.
Behind 2 princes and one princess there is a mom that looks homeless.
Spring Brake: we just stayed home. We biked to Wendy’s. We
went to Uptown Alley twice and they had unlimited game play and VR. We played
with friends. The boys and I slept outside,
Azalyn slept with Greg. It got cold. On
national ice cream day, we got free ice cream from Dairy Queen.
Grandmas' birthday: Azalyn and her made her cake. Dad got her
a balloon and card. Timber sent tons of clothing; I think she kept 2 dresses. I
got her a jumper that did not fit so I got it.
Mom wanted to go on a big bike ride. We went 5 miles. Dad and mom have
found a few fun bike trails we are going to try out. Funny grandma story: Az
gave a talk in primary about how God helps us. Mom told Azalyn to say it loud
enough that grandma can hear, she did.
Just: Greg made his wagyu roast, again we like the tri-tip
better. Tip for life: if you are jumping
a car and cannot get to the battery, remember the black is ground and just needs
to be connected to any part of the vehicle. I found the best fish tacos; this
little hole in the wall restaurant right by my house. Taco Tuesday is my new
favorite thing. I took Denali on his monthly temple trip. There was a lady in
our ward working in the baptistries, I also got to be a witness for the first time.
Denali got to go
camping with Greg and Grandpa. They all
came home with smiles on their faces.
Azalyn went on a night date with grandma. They went to 3 different
places for dinner and treats. Colvin and I went to a mom and son dance at the
school. It was a dress up dance, Colvin picked out my dress. We had a great
time, he even danced with me. Everyone had
a great time.

Blessing: Greg at this time, I hope as you have the decision
you have to go back to work and fulfil your duties. I bless you with a clean and
open mind. You will be received with coworkers and your employer. I bless you
to be able to have a clean mind and focus. That you will be able to fulfil your
duties at the workplace in a way that will please your employer. Greg, I bless
you at this time you have the knowledge, and you can pull from that knowledge.
You can turn to your heavenly father. Know he is there at any time. Greg with
an open mind again knowing you have the knowledge you can take that with you at
work. Greg, I bless you with health that your back will not pain you to the
point impeading your work. Greg you will have the ability and strength and concentration
as you drive the hour to hour an a half each way to work. Heavenly father blesses
your ability to handle that. I bless you
with the ability to have the financial means to support your home and family.
The strength you need to not feel drained. Turn to your heavenly father, Jesus
and the Holy Ghost to guide you in the things you need to do in the next few months
in these trials as you strive to get off the pain pills have a clear mind and
conscience. I bless your family that they can help you in your trials as you
return to work and have patients. I bless you with the ability to understand
this is not an easy transition, that your pain will not enable you to work. We bless you with the ability to handle it. Kowing,
you have the knowledge you know you need to know what you need to do at work. I
bless you with this and anything else the lords see that he needs to bless you
with.
*I did not dictate the blessing perfect, but I got the main
idea. You know what you need to do and you will be able to do it
