This year Vegas was from Saturday to Saturday. We were a little early since we had the
shortest drive. We ended up stopping at Hoover dam and walking across it. Of
all the times I have been to Vegas and drove over the dam I have never stopped.
It was really cool, and the kids loved it.
Samantha brought a group of friends this year. They were so
good to Azalyn. She loved being with the “big” girls.
The kids were in the water within the hour of us getting
there. It was a little cold, but the water was kind of heated. The hot tub was
working, bonus points. My kids always love the sand, but Azalyn learned this
year how to be creative. We made huge sand castles. Of course we cannot forget about all the
activities. This year they did 3 crafts and one “thing” we made it to every
craft.
They redid the rooms, things I liked; no carpet, only LVP
keeps it so much cleaner, full fridge. Things
I did not like; no TV stand, less storage. Since they are still renovating, the
internet was not great. My kids were not happy, a few times we had to watch
real TV. Azalyn could not understand why she could not watch what she wanted
when she wanted, and commercials drove her nuts. Oh, if she only knew.
This year we did not play as many games, but Denali still
learned a few new ones. One that you only win about 1 of 10 times. It is a game
against the deck of cards. Games like
that drive Greg and I nuts.
We love to stop at Pink Box donuts. We usually go in the
morning but neither of us wanted to get up this time. We went at night (most
places are open 24-7) We ate them after driving the strip it was a fun change
up. We are changing our traditions. We
did not make it to the air port again, but we did make it to the Arcade again.
Denali spent most of his time at the arcade playing with Cory. The green button
is always go regardless of language.
I came home with a cough to wake the dead, and no
voice. We all had a great time, not as
Tan as normal.
