Getting too Big

Denali loves to do anything mom is doing. There are two issues one he is 20 months old and two he is a boy. He loves to paint (play in finger nail polish). I learned the hard way by ruining an outfit (pants and shirt). That when you play with nail polish you play in your diaper. (Side note how the outfit that got nail polish on it, I googled how to get nail polish out of clothing. Everything said it would be easy. I tried it all, I even put just straight acetone on it nope did not even fade the nail polish). Denali paints his whole leg, good thing that hot water and a little scrubbing does get nail polish off skin. He was so proud of him self. He will even flap his arms when it is time to dry our nails.

Denali has decided that he loves to be outside. I think it is because the sun has came out for a few days. He loves going to the park because he feels like a big boy. He can climb up the stairs and go down the slide all by himself. He sometimes things he is bigger than he really is. The issue with that is he can climb. I helped him on this rock but I did not think he would be able to climb to the top. He showed me. I had to snap a picture really fast.  He is really good outside if I keep the back door open. He is really good about not going on the road because if he does he has to come in side for 10min. (that is all mom can stand of him crying at the door the whole time). He has leaned that throwing balls outside is fun but mom makes him go and pick them up and that is not too fun. When the sun is out he is like his mom and will take his books out.

He is not a big sweet eater but he will suck on hard licorice. I give it to him when I know I will not be long so that I can clean him off. The first time I gave him licorice we were in church and he had a white shirt on. Not the brightest thing I have ever done. Talking about church I have the best church toy. Magnet tins they are fairly cheep on line. Some people in church let him barrow one of theirs and he loved it. The first time he played with his, he played with it the whole time during sacrament meeting. Ok back to talking about food. Hands down Denali's favorite thing is pop AKA popcorn. He gets one batch a day. POP is not only food but the best toy ever. I find pop all over the house.
Denali has a hard life sometimes. He has to sit on the bed eat pop and watch a movie while mom cleans. He gets all the hugs and kisses that he can handle. He does have to say cheese a lot while we try to capture every moment of his life.
Some fun thing about Denali: he is really good when we go shopping. Most of the time he wants to look at things on his own but he will stay close to us. Sometimes he will grab and hand then look up. He thought the manacin was funny, but it is not so funny when it is a person and he thinks it is mom. When ever he leaves a room he will say "Bye, love ya," and then blow kisses. Then we he comes back into the room he says "hi." It is a game he plays a lot in the morning. He has started to love music. He will dance and sing to it when it is on. He really likes the toddler radio on Pandora but there is only so much wheel on the bus and if your happy and you know it that one person can handle. Thank heaven for Disney radio.
Randomly Denali will say things out of the blue, the other day we were on our way home and Denali started going "mom mom" so I started going "Denali Denali" after about a min he stopped and said "I want dad." He has really started to turn into a daddies boy. If dad is around he will choose dad every time. It is so sweet and so sad.
