December is always a very crazy month
and this year was no exception. There is no way to blog about it all, I will
try to give you the highlights and really the pictures are the best part
anyway.
Denali decided that he loves games.
We play Frozen Shoots and Latter a few times a day. Both my kids love snap
chat. (Very rarely can I get them to hold still long enough to take the
picture.) Colvin still loves any baby he can get his hands on. The boys first
asked for a baby for Christmas but Greg and I shot them down.
Greg's work gave him Jazz
tickets. We took the boys and Calvin. It was really fun the boys can take about
3 quarters that is why kindles come with us. It was fun and made better by the
fact we won. Colvin does not like how loud it gets. He sits on daddies lap most
of time.
I started a New TV show, Gossip
Girls, Greg watched 10 min and said he lost brain cells. I watched it in
Sonya's room for a few days. I might finish it in 3 years.
For School Christmas presents we made
Denali little handouts, "I am glad you popped into my life" It was
tapped on popcorn. Greg got to take him to school and helped him hand it to his
teacher. He loves giving and receiving gifts.
One family tradition that we actually
did this year was go to SL on the train. It was as crazy as always. We picked a
random Thursday day, it was a bad day. There were 3 different big events in SL.
We went to Chilies, of course it took longer than we thought. Colvin pooped and
I had forgotten diapers. Thank heavens Smith was close (I got lost in a Smith
Market place) It was cold and we had to wait 30 min for a train. Despite that
all we had a blast. Sonya's Whole family came. Cal had come home the night
before (we are all leaning to walk on egg shells. I will stay positive.)
Julie hosted the Christmas party that
was kind of hard for me because I usually do the Christmas party. We did a
white elephant exchange. Denali wanted to get a gift, so he gave a gift. I did
not know how he would do since people could still his present, but is loved it.
He got to unwrap 3 different gifts. He ended up with Snow man socks and thought
they were awesome. I love hanging out with family. Greg is starting to tolerate
it better.
The next day was the Proctor party,
at Sonya. We did a lot of cleaning and candy making. Denali only wanted to ware
his snow man AKA Olaf shoes. He was bummed that I made him put on more
clothing. We had Santa come, Colvin even tried to talk to Santa. Denali picked
one thing he wants and keeps it the whole season. This year all he wants was a
pink and rainbow blanket. The hardest part of the party was there was no were
to leave too.
Then I left for a month of road trips. I first stopped at Timbers for a fast overnighter. It was so nice that the kids could jump on the tramp. Denali just loved on his cat. We went to a live nativity thing with the Mcphaul’s. We had to walk to different fires and each fire was a different group that read a scripture and sang a song (example, wise men, Shepherd and the inn keeper) We ended at baby Jesus. It really hit home to me when the sang, “no room no room”
The next day I went to Trujillo and
Charlotte. They were the last family to host the Proctor's. Charlotte
took me to a RS dinner Trujillo watched the boys. They made cardboard swords.
The boys thought that was great. The next night Abraham and Nathan had a school
choir program. It was packed. I was so glad I was there to support them.
Then it was back home for one night.
The VA home, were Gary is living, had a family Christmas program. Again Santa,
both boys loved him. Colvin keeps changing his mind on what he wants, Denali
stick with the pink rainbow blanket. Funny story: on the way home from the
Amy's I totally ran out of gas. I costed off the freeway and into the gas
station. Greg was not amused.
Next morning it was off again to the
Kelly's. Preston had a work party and Sierra had asked me to baby sit. Since I
was going to moms any way. Sierra looked HOT for the party!! All the kids
went down really well. I watched Gossip Girls all night. The next morning
Sierra and Preston took us sledding. (They have received a ton of snow.) They
got an early Christmas present, a 4 wheeler. Both boys had fun, till Denali
feel off then he was done. FUN!!
Next morning it was off to Moms!!! FINALLY-- she was so happy to see us. Mom
and Dad had a company party to go to, they were gone for maybe an hour. The
next day was church, Dad has a new stake calling so he was not in our ward.
Denali was not happy to discover there was no gummy bears. That night we
had a Christmas program at the other church. Denali wined the whole time that
he did not feel good. As we were leaving he throw up at the door. (Bad mommy moment.) Home and he throw up
twice more. The next morning mom missed her doctor appointment. We had a lazy
day, blessing both my kids were beyond exhausted, can you blame them Monday was
the first day in a week that they had stayed more than one night in the same
house. Colvin and Denali both wanted to sleep in my room that was ok with
me. Dad got some really cool new toys, magnets and a big Vtech train set.
The boys were in heaven.
Mom took us to Boise for a big shopping
trip, dad even came. They dropped me off at the temple, mom had a doctor appointment
and dad had the boys. Of course Colvin had to poop with dad. He made Mom change
it. (he only made Colvin wait about 10 min) Then we went to Costco for 2 hours.
The boys had had it by the end but overall they were really good.
The next day we had to go to another
DR. appointment for mom. Result: her ear surgery did not work. She is very sad,
(for mom to show emotion is big.) She has 0% in one hear and about 70% in the
other. We went to mom and dad’s ward party. Something kind of cute; mom wore my
makeup and looking stunning. I hope I look that good in my makeup. Satan came
and again my kids loved him. Denali did not deviate from what he asked
for.
A cute story: one morning I had had
it and did not and could not get out of bed. The boys were not happy that mom
would not let them wake me up. They were adamant that their mom does not get
sick and does not get tired.
Greg's Work has Santa call, the boys
thought it was awesome. They let Santa know that they were at Grandmas and that
he needed to come there. I was going to get it all on video but my phone dies.
I got ONE picture.
I got a kindle book, Sheriffs of
Savage Wells. Mom and I took turns reading it. We both finish it just in time
for Christmas and the BIG family party.
I have to put something in about the
house. Greg sent me pictures the whole time I was gone. Getting very
excited.
Why I was gone Greg did some fun
thing too. One thing he did was go to Calvin's belt testing. Calvin become a
yellow belt.
Stories: Denali had her first oops at school. This what the story I got: A kid and him were play fighting and he got hurt, his teacher held him till he was done crying. Denali is in good hands.
*Rhonda gave me a Christmas present. Right before she died she bought a ton of messages. The family split them up among the family. I got one!
*BOYS: we have some interesting (yes let go with that) rules in the house, our new one is no peeing in garbage cans. Denali did not want to come down stairs to pee and both bathrooms were occupied so he peed in the garbage can. We had to talk about appropriate places to pee (showers, outside and toilets)
