We are all blessed that Colvin survived this month. His
body decided to be an MMA fighter. First, he fell out of my bed one night, and
gave him self a nice shiner. (yes, he got to stay the rest of the night with
mom). Then he threw a fit at school and gave himself a big rug burn that took
like a month heal. As both of those were healing I took the boys to the park
and he got bucked off the teeter-totter, and hit his face (the other side from
his black eye) and got a big bruise. About the park. Denali loves playing with Colvin. He really is a great big brother. We went to the dentist and Denali showed Colvin how to be brave. Than held his hand the whole time.
It was the Meridian Temple open house. Since Greg has
never seen were McCarty lived it was killing 2 birds with one stone. We ended
up taking the car since it was just a fast weekend trip. It was fun to be so
close and the kids did great. They were asleep by the time we got there. Ok
side note Greg and I made a deal when we were first married that if I read all
the Wheel of Time books he would read all the Twilight books. Well, I finished
Wheel of Time before Denali was born and Greg has yet to read any Twilight.
This trip I put him on the path of being an honest man. We listened to Twilight
all the way up and back. BACK to McCarty’s, Sierra’s family and Mom and Dad
came. Sierra had had a lip sense party, so she brought all our goods.
(Christmas presents) it all worked out because I got Greg a game for Christmas
and he got to play with it. Then the main event the Temple. I just have to say
that Satan hates us. We were having fun till right before it was time to leave.
The men were helping McCarty install a light and it got more involved than they
thought. We were kind of late, Mom was going to meet up with Alberta but since
we were late she only got to see here for about 5 min in the temple. Emotion
were high, then the kids were tired and having fun with cousins. We were more
like a zoo, but someday this will be a great memory just might take a lot of
time. It was a fun fast weekend.
You have to see the tender mercies in your life. Mine is
Timber, she has been my Monday blessing for the last few weeks. She comes on
Mondays making my Mondays feel not so long (Greg does not get home till 9). I
am kind of glad that we have this new shift because Greg has decided to go get
his MBA. He must take his GMAT first. Then he wants to quite Fidelity and go
full time to school. Studying for the GMAT then for School is going to be worse
than his current shift so baby steps. The lord knows I could not handle it all
at one. Again, a tender mercy. We also have leaned how important parents are with this new schedule. In November Greg worked a lot of long hours. Denali can take his dad not signing to him for about 3 days before the world melts. It does make the time they have with daddy very special. It is even more of a blessing that I get to stay home with the boys.
THANKSGIVING: The whole goal was just to relax and laugh.
We accomplished that and so much more. There is no way I could write it all.
Check out the pictures for the highlight and read my journal for more deals. We
stopped at Sierra’s for the first 48hrs. (we were going to go to the Meridian
dedication but forgot our Temple recommends) The main event there was Greg and
I put a huge hole in their wall. We were trying to put Greg on their back stretcher,
but we did not set it up right. It crashed on Greg he was ok (that was
questionable for the first few min) but the wall took the main hit. We went
swimming a lot. Preston Brother came with his new girl friend and we went
swimming. Then before the whole family went hot tubing we had to check it out.
The girl’s, dad, Brenden, and kids went night swimming. It was so fun to see
the stars. The only bad thing is it was so cold when getting out. When the
whole family went we took Sierra and Preston trailer. That kids loved having a
nice warm place to sit. The weather was so nice that most of us had to jump off
the new swing. Some of the kids stayed on the big pond most of the time. Sierra
brought a new game, Code Names pictures. I have not laughed that hard in so
long. Dad made a bed in the grain shed. We called it the Taj mahal, McCarty and
we took turns in it. The kids slept on the floor in our room so the mornings we
were in the Taj mahal Denali got to snuggle with McCarty. They both that it was
special. It helped that we ran the kids around so much that my kid would tell
me they were really for bed. Or Denali one night just put himself in bed. Sierra
brought fuzz ball it was a blessing and a curse. They all loved him at the same
time. The only redeeming thing was, it was just as fun to lead him as it was to
ride him and more than one could lead him at a time. Grandma and Grandpa Amy
came down. We tried to take a big great-grandparent photo but …. It all worked
out because Denim made sure we took 100 photos. She is getting too big. We had
a good time having a model session. Main event: TONS of food TONS of food! It was a very quiet day. We played lighting
Mom won the first game. Greg had a pera-smile. Then for Brenden we played
football. Denali even play he liked being quarter back. The weather was so
night that bugs were out biting people (Greg).
Greg and I even got to go on a date.
However, with all the happy there must be a low point.
Dad Mom and some of the brother in laws got in a huge fight. I felt bad because
it was over Denali’s blue blanket. I hope it will help heal past feelings. The
other damper on the whole event was Trujillo and family did not come. We did
get to skype them, but Denali could have really used more boy cousins. As we were leaving Dad was going to another
church to talk, we all decided (x- Cart) that we wanted to go listen to him.
Well he sent us to the wrong church. We did make it to his church LATE. We
walked in to the very front right before he started talking. We had to end with a bang. When we got home, Sierra
discover lice in Katana’s hair. The lice stayed with Katana, but I washed
everything that was in my van.
We did run out of time to do everything. Mom sent home an
egg coloring kit. The boys thought it was great fun. I think they had more fun
on their own since then they did not have to share. Also, another Monday
blessing.
Now that Thanksgiving is over we can look towards Christmas.
We put up our tree and started to put up some outside lights. The boys are so
excited. (FYI, I did not crop Colvin in by the tree that is just how the
picture turned out) Since our Christmas stuff was all over we started our next
big project, organizing the basement. When we moved in the basement was our
catch all. We cleared a space for a toy room, but we have never really
organized it. Now it is a race to the
finish.
STORIES: I tried to can chicken (Mom was selling us meat,
so we needed room in our freezer). Canning chicken is always an adventure. I
lost my lid seal. I did end up finding one in Santaquin. The store was right by
Maverick that means drinks.
*Colvin is night time trained but something in the
morning he gets playing and waits till the last min. to go potty. One morning
we were running to the potty and the moment his PJ were down he went. Then he turned
to me and exclaimed, WOW that was close.
*I really love when I am right. We had a paint guy come,
I told him what to use but he did not believe me. After about 2 hrs. he discover
that yes, I was right.
* Greg had a crazy work month then got sick so this whole
month I have had an angle help me in primary. Sister Openshaw.
* We ran our bodies to the ground. I got super sick, my
cold went into my limp nodes. The doctor put me on 2 medications. He said they
were gooey but not pussy. (Gooey did not sound good to me) I could not eat for
about 2 weeks. The boys had a great 2 days of all the TV they could watch. When I started feeling like I could function
they asked if I could be sick again, so they could watch TV.
* BIG quite news. I took out my IUD we want to have a
baby ASAP, so we can have insurance for as long as possible before Greg starts school.
