November

November 1st is the start of the Holiday Season for me. Christmas music was on; and there was even radio station that agreed with me.  November was also start of the crazy/fun. 

Nesting has set in full force. I cleaned and organized every drawer and closet in the house. Then there was deep cleaning. The men in my life was ready to be done. Greg had to help most nights after work. The boys got good at getting things out of cleaning. Example we clean the chairs we get to watch a movie. My back did not love the nesting. 

The boys finally talked their dad into going to coin crazy with them. We only get one card so they have to take turns. It is so good for them and they are really good at it. It is fun till prize time then we all get frustrated. 

Denali is our super gamer. We are always teaching him new games so we don't have to play the same game over and over. We played Pandemic with him, he did great. It is a co-op game so he was ok with us helping him. We won the first time and lost the 2nd. He is good with either since he just likes to play the games. 

The boys had swim (it was kind of hard to have something Mon-Thur) they had a great time. Each boy learned how to float on their backs, by themselves.  Denali is 90% of the way to swimming all on his own and Colvin loves bobbing in the water.  I took them swimming after they finished lessons Denali had his vest off more than he had it on. 

The main reason I finally started nesting was I had to get the babies room put together. I knew that if it was not done by December it might not get done. I was able to fine, a still of a deal, for 3 small nightstands.  I was also able to find a dresser for the far room. I repainted it myself, turned out great. 

The boys have been wanting to go camping again but it got cold fast, (and mom and dad really did not want to put up the tent.) We camped in the living room and had a great time. It is all about making memories. 

We have done a lot of work on Greg's parents house. The boys are awesome they have fun just running around. It is fun to hang out with Tana, Cory and kids. No one realized how many little things there were and how time consuming everything was going to be.  I guess they should of listened to Greg. 

Julie had a fast impromptu cousin party. I found out there are a lot of cousin going to have babies in the next few months. I love we are all having babies together. 

It was our week to clean the church. We took the kids and it was a great experience for them. On Sunday they were so excited to know that they had helped make the church clean. I need to do more service activities with my kids. 

We finally carved our pumpkins and put candles in them. The boys were so excited when they were done but I was the only one that would gut them. We watched a Christmas movie but they  insisted that we start a Halloween movie. With the pumpkin, I canned it, it was not hard just very time consuming.  You have to cook it then can it. I made pumpkin cookies and a pumpkin roll with it and they both turned out great. 

Two Big Announcement!!  Both McCarty and Sierra are having Girls. McCarty and Brenden revealed it by showing us suckers. (Baler was so excited to show us his sucker) Then Sierra revealed it by doing silly string in the house (they video taped it) We are over joyed for the 3 triples.  

I talked mom and dad into coming down for Thanksgiving.  When I told Colvin he said Oh, I want to go to their house to play with their magnets. Tana, Sonya and Us went to Wreck it Ralph II on Wednesday. Then we went to Tana's for Thursday ate and played game.  Side note, Sonya stayed with us, so Thursday morning I had all the men move the play set and planter box finally. 

The boys favorite TV show is Power Rangers. There are so many different types. It is so fun to watch them play power ranger. It brings back so many memories for me. 

Lets talk Christmas presents. Greg wanted a new lab top, by the time he finally decided YES this is what I want their stock was very very low. I ended up having to go to Provo and pick it up. For my Christmas present I got a new water vacuum. Called a Quantum! I love how gross the water is, because then I know how clean my carpets are. The boys thought that box was great fun too. 

It is turning cold, I forget to turn the car all the way on waiting for Denali one day, and killed the car battery. We had to walk home. The kids thought it was fun but mom had to pee so bad. Memories!

The deal with Colvin and school is if he does not go to school he has to take a nap. He took me up on that one day. I made him lay down for 15 min and he was out for 2 hours. I guess holidays makes everyone tired.

Stories: I had to get a blood drawn. I was able to do it all on my own. It was kind of nice to have me time, but really it was boring. I guess kids make life fun. 
* There was a cousin girl party that I did not go to, but one of the activity they did was have everyone tell their favorite scripture. Mine was John 11:35- Jesus wept. It showed his compassion. I  read an article that the best way to help people through grief is to grieve with them. That is what Jesus does for all of us. 
* With all the cleaning we finally were able to clean and organize under our desk. That has been on our to do list for the last year. It is so nice checking off to do list items. 
* For our thanksgiving lesson, we talked about being thankful for things we usually don't think about. Things we take for granted. It was fun to see what the kids came up with. Hot water was number 1. 
* I was finally able to go to book club. I did not read the book, I have been focusing all my time on reading the book of Mormon, but it was fun just to be with the women. I know this will be the last time I will go for a while, fun for now!
