Life events happened in April. My kids did not go to a
full week of school the Whole month of April. We only listened to Sunday
conference since we were on our way home on Saturday. My take aways: your words
matter, good or bad be careful of what you say.
Stories make a lasting impression that also teach great principals. How important
is your sole that Satan works so hard to destroy it.
Fact of life: If your house is clean no one will even knock
on the door. The day the house looks like a bomb went off, someone will come
first thing in the morning. When we got
home on Saturday I made the family unload. We undid the bags with dirty
clothing, just so we did not have to take it upstairs. There were blankets and pillows lining the
stairs (waiting to be taken up) Every surface of my kitchen was covered. Sunday,
I took the day off thinking Monday morning I will tackle it all. Well, Sunday
night Greg reminded me we had the AC inspector coming, anytime between 8 and
12. Well 8 AM Monday knock on my door. Yep, he even had to go upstairs and all through
the bomb of a house. Then at 10, another inspector came. It took me two days to
dig through vacation. On the 3rd day not one person knocked on my door.
Why in Vegas I broke my phone. First world problems but
yes there were tears. I did order a new phone, but I lost all but my contacts
and calendar. The worst part was at home I had a new phone I was going to switch
over but got busy and thought I will just do it when I get home. The first 24 hours
were horrible, but I ended up actually enjoying it. When I got home, I was able
to fix the screen of my old phone, I am getting really good, and move what I
wanted over. I did not move over my “free
time” apps. This might sound weird, but I hate getting a new phone. I hate “setting”
it up or learning some of the new features.
Right now, if I could freeze time I would. All my kids are old enough to be independent
but still little enough to be cute. We are still working on wiping our own butt,
and sleeping in our own room all night all the time but I will take it. Denali gave his first lesson in church. To prepare
I made him answer his own questions. He had his dad come in to be his tech
guy. Had more material than time, always
the sign of a good teacher. Colvin loves doing anything just a little dangerous.
In Utah he talked his dad into hijacking him over and over on the tramp. His back and knees hurt so bad, and he had
the biggest smile on his face. For state testing Colvin's teacher had us write 3 letters to our 3rd grader. Dads was the only one that made it home, but he LOVED them. Azalyn
had her 5 yr. checkup. She is doing great with her Asma. BMI 13.98 14% Height
86% 45 inch Weight 45 lbs.
SEE OTHER POST: Greg was gone for a week, he flew up to Utah.
The blessing why he was gone, was how busy I was. Made the week go faster than it would otherwise.
Why he was gone the kids, and I did our tradition, going to KFC. I have no clue how that franchise stays in business.
Our saying, Lets see how bad our customer service can be. I played Mario cart
with the kids. We had every late night.
Oreo had puppies SURPRISE! On Saturday Greg was petting
her and said Syringa I felt something move. I said how Marshmallow is broke. He
said I know that I felt something move. What ever add it to the list. Well, that Monday, yes less than 48 hr later,
she was just acting funny. During dinner we heard her yelp. We jumped up and
she came running from under the couch. As she runs, she gives birth and snaps the
cord. I ran over to the blob and there was a puppy still in the sack. I yelled scissors
now. I had to cut the sack, it was stronger
than expected, and razer the cord off. I rubbed the puppy and it started to move. We got our big kennel and set it up. About an
hr. later there was another yelp. That one she had on her own in the kennel and
was working on the cord, but the puppy had not come out of the sack. I had to
cut that one out too. The kids got to clean it off. We have a girl and a boy. Donut
and Mist! We have an idea of who the father is.
She got out one day for about 30 minutes why I was picking up the boys.
It only takes one rogue sperm.
Our theme this month is good bad who knows. There is good
in every situation if you are only willing to look
We flew to Utah, Greg found really great flights. We actually
penciled it out and if we can find flights for under $100 a person with gas it
is about even, but we save money because of food. Another benefit was we had
almost a full extra day with family and was not as tired because of driving ALL
day. We could only take a personal item,
but you can fit a lot in a backpack. Sad was we left Colvin’s blanket and
stuffie he won from the arcade on the plane.
Just life: One night Denali called us from our bathroom
at 11:30, he had slept walked down stairs got his phone (SEE birthday post)
called us why walking into our room and bathroom. He said, “where are you.” I
jumped out of bed and said here. He said I thought you were gone. Took Greg and
I awhile to go back to sleep. Denali got
student of the month and he was finally here to receive it. I even got to go
and watch. Both boys had science projects.
Denali did “What liquid is best for popping popcorn” He used water, oil and soda.
The water just had no flavor, oil was the best, and soda did not work at all.
Colvin did “What protects eggs better, Plastic Wrap or Aluminum Foil” the foil
one. I don’t mind doing the science part, it is the project part that I hate. Denali
had a young men’s activity one Friday night, it was a dinner he got to invite a
teacher too. Colvin and I had date night
and watched Jurassic Park, he loved it. He even dressed up. Azalyn and dad also had date night with Taco Bell
(her favorite) and Bluey.
Now is the perfect time to sleep outside before it gets
too Hot! Azalyn got a really bad cough
in Utah and sleeping outside actually helped her not caught. My phone died so
we did not get books or pictures much to the kids chagrin.
I got set apart for activity days. I am going to need all
the help I can get. I babysat for a lady in the ward. There are 3 kids 5 4
and 3. They were soo good. Azalyn was not a fan, she was very happy to go to tumbling
on her own. It was good for her to
share, there last hr. she decided she could be the boss and like them. The kids were not fans of all the driving I
had to do picking up the boys.
When you are mentally exhausted you are also physically exhausted.
