Vegas

We usually go to Vegas for fall brake but that did not work out this year. We went for Utah spring break, and it was really nice. When we got to Vegas it was pouring. I was really scared of how the week was going to go but it was wonderful.

We had Easter at the Hotel. We hid eggs with candy, but I also got each kid an egg with a Dragon. They thought that was really cool.

The pool was heated. Even though outside was on the cooler side the pool was really nice. We spend a lot of time swimming. However, the hot tub had WAY to many chemicals. We had to take a 24-hour swim brake. The kids were not fans of the brake, but their skin was.

The best things about Vegas for my kids are all the crafts. 2 years ago, it was Covid, so they had very minimal crafts. Last year we were at another Hotel. This year they ate it up and did not miss one. With even a few extras.

A theme in Vegas is seeing how late my kids can stay up.  This year we did better than last. We usually had the kids in bed before midnight. The issue was then Greg, and I would get talking and it would be really late. One upside the kids did sleep in a little.

We try to do something new every year. This year we went to a new buffet. The food was good, it was huge. However, they had the best desserts.  We also went to a Korean arcade. It was a very sketchy part of town. The games were fun, but they were all in Korean, so it was just hitting buttons and hope you are right.

Colvin LOVED watching the sphere. He really wanted to watch it wake up.  He was able to watch it go to bed a few nights. However, it wakes up at 6. I told him the last morning I would get up with him. After getting about 4 hours of sleep I woke him and Denali up. It did not wake up till about 6:30 but we did get to see it. I almost missed it because one, the kids had locked the key in our room so I had to wake Greg up and I was getting them clothing so we could go get donuts. Pink box donuts are SOO good but definitely a once a year thing $$$.

Funny Az story: one night we drove the strip, Azalyn took a pen and wrote all over herself. When we asked her why she would do that she said because I want to be naughty. Az also had a little friend that did a craft with her everyday. 

Great time was had by all. We did not make it to see the plains or go to the chocolate factory. Everyone but Azalyn and Greg fell asleep on the way home. We were all sad that vacation was over, but it was time to now rest from vacation.
