Joural

* Disclamer:  I have started writing in my journal again. I have a lot more stories, and not as many pictures because some time it takes some time for me to really think it was cute and funny. I will do my best to put pictures to stories.

Elder Bednar gave a talk once entitled More diligent and Concerned at Home. Here is a excerpt from that talk: As our sons were growing up, our family did what you have done and what you now do. We had regular family prayer, scripture study, and family home evening. Now, I am sure what I am about to describe has never occurred in your home, but it did in ours.
Sometimes Sister Bednar and I wondered if our efforts to do these spiritually essential things were worthwhile. Now and then verses of scripture were read amid outbursts such as “He’s touching me!” “Make him stop looking at me!” “Mom, he’s breathing my air!” Sincere prayers occasionally were interrupted with giggling and poking. And with active, rambunctious boys, family home evening lessons did not always produce high levels of edification. At times Sister Bednar and I were exasperated because the righteous habits we worked so hard to foster did not seem to yield immediately the spiritual results we wanted and expected. I find that our family home evenings are about 2 min and I am not sure what Denali gets out of it. However, one night we had a lesson on Temples and that is were we get married. I showed him the Manti Temple and then showed him the sign for temple. It lasted all of about 1min. The next morning he pointed to the Temple on the wall and did the sign and said mom and dad. I almost cried he was listening. Now if I ask him where we get married he will do the sign for temple.

Colvin does not sleep in arms very well. He never has so when he does fall asleep in our arms we eat it up. You cannot eat it up very long because he will wake up and when he does he will not go back to sleep. He is a bed boy, so when he diverts from the norm we capture it in a pictures to remember it does happen sometimes.

McCarty and Brenden came down for conference. We painted. Cart and I taped the bathroom (3 hrs) then Greg and Brenden painted the ceiling down stairs. They had to go get more white paint so they had boys time and took Denali. They took him with no shoes, in my shirt, and his hair was not brushed. (that is why we need moms). Cart and I talked a lot. I am so glad that I can have empathy for couples. Cart and I put on fake eye lashes took about on hour but so fun. They did not last long but it was fun to play girl. (the only pictures I have is of the finished bathroom-LOVE IT!!!) Oh more more funny thing I spilled paint all over Cart said now I know how Brended feels with me. She was so proud that she had never done anything that bad.

Sad poop story. I went to put Colvin down for his morning nap and his leg was wet but I did not really think anything about it. When he woke up (an hr later) I went to change him and he had poop every were. Down his leg, he had poop and I did not realize it and I had him sleep in it. SOO SAD!! Good thing he LOVES being naked.

*I have been doing T25, Denali will do it with me. His favorite thing to do is jump on my back why I do push us. He says mom hee hee (be a horse)
*PARENTS it is ok to have moments of feeling like a monster. Denali can be so cute or the devil. You just have to think ahead "I will put them in a room and walk away"
There was a day that Colvin was a fuss and Denali needed me too. I put  Colvin in his crib and Denali in time out (while he was kicking the door) I went outside and breathed.
*Love looks different for everyone. Love for me looks like my husband putting light bulbs in every light fixture in the house. (This was a big deal for him since he hates bright lights one, and two he knows it will make the power bill go up) Thanks my love!!!
*I HATE to coupon, everyone that likes too good for you. I have to write that down so when I try it again in 6 months I can remember yes you hate it don't do it.  Greg did come with me this time and he is not a fan either, on the same page.
*Katana and Denali call each other about once a week. Katana sang let it go to Denali one day and now he sings that all the day, but he only knows that part, "Let it go let it go" I love cousins.
*Prayer story-I had a ton to do one morning, both boys woke up early. Colvin would not sleep and Denali just wined at my feet.  After no work out I went up stairs and fell on my knees. It was a 180 turn around. Colvin went right to sleep, Denali started to play and I (know Angles helped me) get everything done.
* Denali had his first real Dentist appointment and did wonderful. They were able to even take x-rays. (the power of playing dentist). For his reward he got to go to McDonald and play he played for 1.5hrs.
**Best Story: Denali came in bed with us one morning. He was laying on Greg and he farted really big. Denali jumped up and with a look of Horror on his face said mommy daddy pooped. I lost it So funny but it got better; that afternoon on the baby monitor I heard mommy poop mommy poop. I went and checked him and he was clean I said you did not poop he said no mom poop like dad. You farted, YES! Now when he farts it is poop like dad. I laugh every time.
